"You'll get cold, meri Ruh." He replied, wrapping the blanket around her again.

"Aapko sharam nahi aati? Ek baar jhooth hi bol dete ki aapki biwi hot lag rahi hai!" She exclaimed, walking away from there with her clothes, "Buddhe kahin ke."
(Aren't you ashamed? You should've just lied and said that your wife is looking hot!) (Old man)

"Roop..."

She ignored him, walking back to the washroom to wear her clothes. Coming outside, she was determined to ignore him as she walked towards the bed only to be picked up in the middle.

A yell left her mouth as she felt herself picked up, Amrit's arm wrapped around her. He waited for her to say something to him but she didn't. Dropping all her weight in his arms as she played dead.

"Mujhse jyada aapko zarurat hai khane ki." He said, making her sit on the chair in front of the vanity table.
(You need to eat more than I do)

Her eyes followed his moves as he plugged in the hair dryer, combing her hair before blow-drying them.

"Braid or bun?" He asked. She chose not to reply so he braided her hair. She praised him mentally since she couldn't do it the other way, her hair would be wavy tomorrow, thanks to him.

Getting done with a messy braid, he kissed the side of her head, his chin resting on her shoulder, "My wife looks hot, cute, whatever word you want to use all the time but I don't want her to get sick, it scares me to see you suffering."

"No one says I'm looking hot, it's always cute." She complained.

"Good, no one should look at my wife and have those thoughts and if you could hear my thoughts every time I look at you, you won't have any complaints." He told her, grabbing her hand as he pulled her to bed, "Order dinner?"

"Yes please, I would like.." She trailed off, picking up the menu from the nightstand before telling him what she wanted to eat.

..

"Amrood?" She whispered, looking at him with wide eyes since it was too dark in the room.

"Jii?"

"Bhook lagi hai." She told him, it wasn't late, just 3 in the morning.
(I'm hungry)

"We have some fruits in the room." He replied, getting up in a sitting position.

"No, I am hungry wala hungry." She sighed helplessly.

"The hotel's kitchen is not open at this moment, are you comfortable with going out or should I bring you something?" He asked.

"We'll go out?" She asked excitedly.

"Yes, but I can't assure you that we will find something at this time." He told her.

"It's okay! I'll wear my jacket!" She was quick to jump off the bed and throw her suitcase open to take out the jacket. He turned the lights on, wearing something warm too. "I'm ready." She said, zipping up the jacket.

He didn't say anything, walking back to the suitcase and taking out a cap and a scarf to cover her head, making sure that the cold air can't touch her.

His eyes dropped to her feet, seeing her just wearing slippers, he made her sit on the sofa before making her wear a pair of socks and shoes.

"Aapne to merko poora pack kar dia!" She whined, going to remove the scarf but he stopped her.
(You packed me in these clothes)

"It's cold outside, now c'mon."

They left the hotel silently, not making any noise even though no one would have noticed with the size of the hotel.

"Do you know how to fight?" Roop asked as they walked on the empty roads, her hand clutching his arm tightly.

"Why?"

"Arey wo movie me dikhate hain na, raat mai aise gunde log aate hain and then the hero fights them all, aap mere hero ho na." She replied.
(Oho, they show in movies, bad men attack you at night and then the hero fights them all, you're my hero na.)

"I can fight anyone to protect you but in real life, you gotta run instead of fighting back those people." He told her.

"It's raining." She looked up, feeling wet droplets touching her face.

He quickly pulled her under a shed, watching the street light blink as rain poured down. It wasn't long until it started to snow.

She squealed, running away from the shed to feel the snowfall for the very first time in her life. Amrit clicked a few pictures to capture her memories before joining her to make the memories together.

"It's real!" She said, opening her palms to collect the snow.

"Yes, it is."

"This is so surreal, I can't believe this!" She twirled around, her hunger long forgotten as she let her inner child enjoy, "Dance with me!" She pulled him, wrapping her arms around his neck.

He danced with her until she was satisfied, the smile on her lips never left, and her face glowed more under the streetlight.

"Ruh?"

"Hmm?"

"I don't think I can live without you now, I'm falling in love with you scratch that, I feel myself growing in love with you, it's so easy, to love you and I don't think I could've spent another moment without letting you know that I am in love with you and I don't want to stop saying that." He confessed.

She smiled, her eyes filling up as she heard his words, taking them in slowly, "Amrit?"

"Hmm?"

"I think I'm in love with you too and I don't think I will stop saying that too." She giggled, connecting their lips.

It was just them, the moon and the snow.
