To The Light by NthatiL
I have never
known what it
feels like to be
bathed in light.
The beams
hitting your skin,
making it glisten
in positivity
excellence.
A reality for some
but a dream for me.
Just when I thought
that my dream would
never see the light of
day, streaks of bright
lights cast away the
darkness I've grown
accustomed to and
ascend a new dawn
upon me.
To the light,
how I wish I had
greater words to
express my gratitude.
