I hear the front door open and light footsteps make their way towards me. It's been 2 days since Leo's nightstay and 2 days since I've been convincing papa to let me find a job .

I feel a warm hand shake my shoulder as I snuggle into the covers. I peek through the blanket and find papa looking at me with a worried expression.

I sit up straight as he straightens the covers and put the tray full of my favourite meal infront of me.

He looks at me and motions towards to food with pleading eyes. He knows I haven't been eating much for the past few days . Though it's not my fault. How can he expect me to stay at home all the time. I love baking and I want to work at a bakery which is just down a few streets.

"My child, please stop being so  stubborn and eat . I've had a word with the manager of the bakery you like and he says that you can join from Thursday" Papa explains while patting my head .

"Y-you mean that n-now I can work?" I ask excitedly.

He nods and kisses my forehead and I can feel his smiling when his lips linger on my head.

"But you'll have a Denver with you at all times for your safety because he's the one whom you feel the most comfortable with and we're not arguing about that" he says curtly.

I simply nod while eating my pasta because I know that I cannot argue about this . He is already so worried about my safety and if I say anything I night as well loose my job before even getting it.

Papa tells me that he has some work to do so he'll be in the office and without any delay I text Nico to inform him about my new job.

Nico:

Me:
I got a jobbb
At the bakery down
The street . Ackkkk

Nico:
Really? I'm proud of you baby.

Me:

What are you doing? 

Nico:
Driving to take you out to celebrate get ready pretty girl.

As soon as I see the message I jump of the bed and start to sprint towards the closet.

The only dress I can seem to find is a beautiful white dress which reaches my upper thigh. I style it with a pair of white heels and golden earrings. I put on my rings and also the one that Nico gave me.
