I quickly climbed up the tree holding my breath. I looked around and saw Matt enter the woods. No no no when Matt's mad you stay far away from him. Thats a learned lesson.
"MERCURY! YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CANT HIDE!" Matt yelled as it echoed through the woods and he started running
I saw the others run into the woods. I shook one tree branch and everyone looked up.
"dont worry we'll send one of us up there" Taylor yelled
I jumped down and smacked my forehead.
"idiot fricking idiot you retard" I whispered
"hello Mercury" I heard Matt say from a couple steps behind me
I turned around and started backing up.
"shh baby girl I'm here" Gilinsky said as he hugged me then I stood at his side.
"when I say run you run home and lock the doors and windows alright?" Gilinsky whispered into my ear
I nodded my head. I saw Matt pull out a gun.
"Mercury come here I've been sick and tired of this" Matt said locking the gun in place
"RUN!" Gilinsky yelled shoving me behind him
I started running then heard a gun shot. One after another after another. It echoed through the woods sending birds to fly away up into the sky.
I ran back and Shawn Nash Taylor and Cameron were holding me back.
"shh dont worry n-nothing bad h-happened" Maggie stuttered out
I shoved past Maggie and felt my knees give away. I put my head in my hands feeling the tears fall down my face
"NO!" I screamed out bringing my knees to my chest crying harder.
Shawn picked me up and held me in his lap calming me down but the tears wouldn't stop.
they couldn't be gone. they couldn't be gone. . I kept reassuring myself as tears ran down my face.
