Barry turned around. He ran to Caitlin as she had collapsed. What had she just said before she collapsed? She had called him something and the name felt really familiar. He picked her up and took her into a little room, and lay her down. He started to leave, but felt his hand being grabbed. He turned to look, and found out that Caitlin had grabbed his hand. He undid it and turned to go

"Don't leave me Barr. Don't leave me"

Barry turned to look, and found Caitlin unconscious but murmuring

"He killed you. I'm sorry. I couldn't stop him"

Barry went to leave, when Caitlin opened her eyes

"What happened? How did I end up here?"

"Don't you remember anything?"

Caitlin shook her head

"You collapsed. Now you relax and wait for me to call you at the reception to perform"

"Are you still getting married?"

"Of course. Why wouldn't I?"

"I just thought that you....."", said Caitlin trailing off. Barry turned to go, when Caitlin took his hand. He turned around to look at her, as she raised his hand, and let her hand, leave his by drawing it away. He looked at her as she shook her head. Barry turned away, wiping the tears from his hand face, that had suddenly appeared

"Don't leave me Barr", she whispered into the silence after he had left. Caitlin grabbed her stuff and quietly sneaked out. She couldn't stay now and watch him getting married to someone else, after realising the truth

Caitlin sat on the sofa, with her head lowered

"They've won again Barry. They have seperated us again. You were always the one to tell me that our love would last forever and that we would always find each other again. But the irony is that I'm in front of you and you don't remember me"

Caitlins head shot up as Carla entered the house

"Caitlin darling, are you alright? I looked for you everywhere but you had just disappeared"

"I'm sorry. I just felt ill. I just couldn't perform at the reception"

"But Caitlin......."

"I don't want to hear anymore about it mum. They've won"

"They? Who are they?"

"I've been reincarnated mum. This is my second life"

Carla said nothing

"I know that you don't believe me, but this was our second chance, and they have won again. I don't know what crazy joke life is playing on us, but it is what it is"

Caitlin face was completely wet, with fresh tears rolling down her cheeks

"The only boy I've ever loved and I lost him, not once but twice. Wow fate, what sort of cruel joke is this?"

Caitlin wiped her tears away and laughed

"I'm perfectly capable on my own. I don't need a man. I'm strong, independent woman"

"Caitlin"

"No mum. I'm fine. Please don't worry"

Caitlin ran upstairs into her room, and flopped down onto her bed. What sort of cruel joke was this? After everything that they had been through, they were both here, but Barry didn't remember her. Caitlin laughed at the irony. Barry who had always told her that if they got seperated, their love was strong and powerful enough to find each other again

"I'm here Barry. Where are you? Why do you not remember your Caitlin? Your Caitlin who used to insult you every morning on her radio show because you were late and didn't turn up for the interview. I hated you, but you didn't give up and won me over in the end. So how can you not remember me? After everything we went through together to stay together"

Caitlin wiped the tears from her cheeks

"They have won Barry. Only this time Barry, they won because of you. You made us lose Barry. Why? After everything that you said and did to keep us together? Why Barry why?"

"You always said that our love was true and we would find each other again, if something happened. I'm here but where are you?"

"Our love must not have been that special like you said. If it was, you would be here with me"

Caitlin just lay in her bed, staring at the ceiling. She couldn't afford to get too upset as she had other things that she needed to focus on. But Barry was with her music team. She would have to face him constantly and despite knowing what she knew, she would have to carry on as normal. Her phone rang and Caitlin wished that she could just ignore it, but she knew that she had to answer it as it might have to do with her music career

"Yes?"

"Caitlin, don't forget that you have an interview later on today. So don't be late. We'll meet you at the interview studio"

Caitlin groaned and got up. The last thing that she wanted to do was go and give an interview. Go on national television and smile and pretend that everything was perfectly alright in her life. She got up and tidied herself up, and went downstairs

"Mum, I'm going out. See you later"

Caitlin drove home in a daze. How had she managed to get through that interview? How had she pasted on a smile and smiled and laughed and pretended that everything was perfectly fine? She needed her mum. She opened the door and saw her mum, doubted over in pain

"Mum, mum what's wrong?"

"I don't know. This pain just came out of nowhere"

"Hang on. We'll get you to a hospital"

Caitlin felt a strong sense of deja vu, driving them to the hospital. But no, she was determined that this wouldn't be like last time. Last time she couldn't save her mother, but this time she could and would

Duff, duff, duff. Will she manage to save her in time? As always, feedback appreciated
