Caitlin and Carla entered the building
"Right everyone, please take a seat. I've brought us one more brain for our brainstorming"
"Why? I thought that we had decided everything"
"I thought so too, but the more I listen to my song, the more I think that we are making a mistake"
"Alright. Let's hear this new idea"
"Mum, your up", Caitlin whispered to Carla
"The more that I listen to Caitlins song, the more I get a picture in my mind of what we should do. The song really touched your heart, and I think that you need to consider my idea. Maybe it's rubbish but another idea can't hurt surely? So the song is about a girl searching for her long lost love. I'm thinking that it should be dark and there should be shadows, she should be wearing a mask, and looking for him behind closed doors. The mask falls off when she finds him at the end. But it's just an idea"
"This is interesting. It might work"
"But we will have to work double hard and change everything. Are we ready for that?"
"I love it"
Everyone's head turned as Barry walked in
"I think that it's a really good idea. We might have to work extra hard, but I think that it's a great idea. But I don't mind what you lot think. It's not just up to me"
"I agree with Barry and my mum. I think that this new idea is perfect"
"I think that it's worth a try. Let's do a sample of both and see which one works"
Caitlin and her team got to work, rearranging everything. It was a long day, and everyone was tired by the time they called it quits for the day. Caitlin and Carla drove home
"It will take a few days mum, but mum soon everything will be perfect. Your idea was wonderful and I think that it's brilliant that I get to try out both ideas before we all select a final one. Honestly I think I prefer your idea. It just suits my song more"
Caitlin came home exhausted. She went straight to bed and collapsed
"I take it everything is finished and that's why you are so tired?"
"Yes, it's all done. It took a lot of hard work filled with arguments and tension and a lot of stress"
"Then why are you so worried?"
"I don't know mum. Maybe my team is right and I'm wrong. Maybe in trying to be perfect, I'm delaying my launch and by the time that I'm ready, nobody will be interested"
"Do you honestly believe that?"
"I don't know. I'm just exhausted and not thinking straight. Talk to me tomorrow"
Caitlin and Barry prepared to go home after the wedding. Caitlin was walking around thanking everyone and wishing her friends well in their married life when she saw it. She marched up to Barry
"It's you"
"Yes it's me. Were you expecting someone else?"
"I should have known. Only you could be the Barry that didn't show up for the interview with me and now has to be humiliated by me daily"
"Wait. That's you? Your the one who is insulting me daily?"
"Be careful what you say to me Barry. Look what I've done to you and your business in a few days. Imagine what I could do in a longer time"
"You need to stop this"
"No. I'm enjoying it. I enjoy humiliating you everyday. I wonder what other damage I can do"
Caitlin turned around and stomped off. Barry stood there in shock. What could he do?
The next day Caitlin turned up at her radio show, ready to humiliate Barry further. If he thinks that I'm going to stop now, he's going to be in for a big shock she thought. Suddenly she did a double take. There was Barry, asleep on the sofa clutching a bouquet of flowers. She knelt down and stared taking them one by one when Barry suddenly woke up. He smiled seeing her
"Won't you give me the rest of the flowers?"
Barry gave her the bouquet and they went into her interview room
"Good morning everyone. I have some good news today. Today chef Barry has turned up and has decided he is ready to be interviewed. So let's start. Welcome Barry"
"Hi"
"So tell us how you got interested in cooking?"
"Well as a young boy, my mum used to make delicious meals. I was always fascinated by them. I became her little shadow and used to experiment in the kitchen. Soon I became an expert"
"How do your parents feel about their little boys success?"
"My dad passed away a while ago. I like to think that he's proud of me. My mum's ecstatic. She loves what I do. Plus I can cook for her"
"That's lovely. And I'm sure that your dad is very proud of you"
"I hope so"
"Ok as a punishment for keeping my listeners waiting, can you tell us a dish that you make in your restaurant and how to make it"
"Caitlin that's not fair. I can't be giving my secrets away"
"Barry, this is your punishment. You should have been here on the day and time for the interview. Otherwise we'll just terminate the interview here"
"Fine, I'll tell you one. For this dish you need ....."
Barry looked at Caitlin
"Yes? Please carry on"
