An Interview; Zhang Chen & Liu Han

What are their common interests?

Liu Han, "Movies. We watch everything together and review them like unreasonable critics."

Zhang Chen, "Card games. Yu-Gi-Oh specifically. We built tons of decks as kids and now we just play to pass the time. Sometimes we go to tournaments too."

What are a few of their inside jokes?

Liu Han grumbles, glaring at Zhang Chen. "After we started dating, Zhang Chen nonstop asks me if I want everything in peppermint flavor–even if it's something that can't be peppermint related."

Zhang Chen thinks for a moment, before answering too. "Well, whenever I come over, I always ask him if his coffee machine has been delivered yet–"

"Shut up–one more word from you and you can say goodbye to studying for finals together."

"What if I promised...we would make out during our study sessions?"

Liu Han looks at him helplessly.

In what ways do they worry about each other?

Zhang Chen speaks with an absent-minded look on his face. "Liu Han works too hard. To please me and make sure everything we do together is perfect. To maintain his grades and clubs. I wish he understood...that he doesn't need to be perfect for me to love him."

Liu Han fiddles with his fingers. "Zhang Chen doesn't ever take care of himself! He's always brushing me off, insisting he's fine, when I know he isn't. He thinks it's a burden on me if he consults me, but...I just want him to be healthy and rely on me."

How do they express love for each other?

"Liu Han always brings me things–all sorts of things. From little toys he thinks I'll like to umbrellas and scarves that he always somehow gets correct when I forget them myself. His hunches serve him well, haha."

"Zhang Chen is always assuring me. His straightforward compliments are so embarrassing–I can't believe he just hasn't been saying them all along. But...they always make make me so inexplicably happy."

What...ahem, positions do they take in the bedroom?

"Top."

"Top."

They look at each other, before looking away with embarrassment, their lie quickly exposed to the open. "Actually...we don't have any positions. We don't plan on doing...on going so far in that direction. Not right now at least."

What do they find most physically attractive about the other?

Zhang Chen, "His eyes."

Liu Han, "....His muscles."

Zhang Chen stares at him for a moment, before laughing. "Really? Out of everything, you choose to say–"

"Yes, and I'm not going back on what I said," Liu Han scoffed. "What's true is true."

How do they spend time together usually?

"Well usually I wind up studying at a park table while Zhang Chen shoots hoops. During sleepovers, well, we wind up binging movies until I fall asleep."

"Mmm, usually it's Liu Han trying to teach me some class concept at a table, and me trying to get him to hold my hand."

How do they spend time on each other's hobbies or interests?

Liu Han says, "Zhang Chen sometimes helps me bake, but mostly keeps me company while I do all the work."

Zhang Chen says, "Liu Han always comes to my games to support me, with very few exceptions. He'll even play basketball with me to learn, as embarrassed as he is about not being good."

What do they do in silent moments? What are they thinking about?

Liu Han, "It's usually us holding hands, or one shoulder on someone else's. Zhang Chen tends to play with my hair if we're together in a quiet mood."

Zhang Chen, "Liu Han daydreams alot, so I just wind up staring as he zones out. I always wonder what he must be thinking of."
Do they want children? If so, how many? Do they agree about this?

Liu Han, "Just one."

Zhang Chen, "At minimum, three."

"Ah??"

They both stare at each other with incredulous looks.
