"It's not that I don't trust you. I..." Panzer snorted, walked over to a console on the wall and leaned on it as he awkwardly tapped at it with his paw. An action Vould noticed.

"What does the Kitten need?"

Panzer growled before speaking.

"Ship wide announcement please Pong."

"Attention, 'Wannabe' and 'Animal Lover'. The Kitten has something to say."

Vould pulled up a holo-screen in the middle of the room. Yora, Roisin and the other two of the triplets appeared in their own screen regions. Panzer dropped down from the wall, sat up and pawed at his ear.

"Um, I'm gonna go and thought it would be necessary to let you guys know. So I'll see you later. I'll probably be gone for a few days. Maybe a month or two to be honest, so uh, bye."

"Be careful Panzer."

"You'll be fine."

"Do have a good trip sir."

"If you break your translator just come back sooner than later. You don't know when you'll really need it."

Panzer nodded at the screen then looked over to Lancieta, remembering that him smiling was scarier than it was comforting and opted for a verbal farewell.

"Bye."

"Bye sweetie." She answered with a smile.

With that, Panzer left.

It had been 7 days since Panzer left the ship and he hadn't had too much happen by the way of excitement besides the odd hunting and gathering few times a day. The sun was high in the sky when he managed to catch a deer which, after he ate his fill, realized would basically go to waste. There was wildlife around but the world was much quieter than he thought it used to be. Panzer had left the carcass to try and find another human or even an animal that would be able to eat the rest.

"Hey!"

A Doberman looked at him with curious eyes, a quiet light behind them.

"Can you understand me?"

The Doberman sat up and put out a paw as if Panzer asked for them to give him 5.

"If you're hungry, I caught a deer. It may be gone but you could follow me to where I left it."

The Doberman dropped to its belly and rolled over.

"Give me strength..." Panzer sighed and dropped his head in frustration.

He walked over to the Doberman and rubbed its belly. Then they play-fought for a few minutes.

"Food. Are you hungry?"

The Doberman looked at him curiously and sat there with its tongue hanging out of its mouth. It had been the first Doberman he had ever met in person he thought and it was as playful as a puppy. A 5 foot long puppy, a little shorter than he was. Panzer mimed for the Doberman to follow him, it barked in response.

"Finally."

They walked brusquely for about 10 minutes and found the deer exactly as Panzer had left it not even a bug had crawled onto it.

"Here. This is for you. "

Panzer motioned towards the deer with his paw. The Doberman barked happily and licked Panzer's face.

"That's gross dude, but you're welcome."

Panzer raised a paw playfully at the Doberman before he left and it stopped eating just long enough to return the motion. He turned and continued walking towards the mysterious "pull" he'd been following.
