[Scene Change: Kitchen, Yun Yun's house, day.]
[Ren is lying unconscious on the kitchen table.]
Yun Yun: He's gonna be okay, guys.[Aqua walks in with a first aid kit.]
Megumin: Oh, thank God. He's gonna be okay, right?
Yun Yun: Okay. [Feels for Ren's pulse] Holy...
Kazuma: What?
Yun Yun: His pulse is super fast.
Kazuma: That actually might be normal for him. I don't know. You gotta help him, Maddie.
Yun Yun: He doesn't seem to have any broken bones. He's just really banged up. [Takes off Ren's shoes] Oh, look at his poor little feet.[Darkness looks at Ren's worn-out shoes.]
Kazuma: Hang in there, buddy. You're gonna be all right.[Yun Yun walks out of the kitchen]
Kazuma: He's gonna be okay, right? He'll snap out of this. He'll wake up soon? Oh, smelling salts! Don't you have, like, vet smelling salts, like, for cats or parakeets or something?
Aqua: No. They don't make cat smelling salts.
Megumin: They should.
Darkness: Their human smelling salts in my human first aid kit. [Opens up the kit and takes out the smelling salts] Okay. [Cracks the capsule and holds it close to Ren's nose.] Here we go.
Kazuma: Come on, buddy.[As soon as he gets a whiff of the smelling salts, Sonic immediately wakes up and talks very fast.]
Ren: Gotta go fast![Ren starts zipping and speeding all over the kitchen before coming to a complete stop back at the table.]
Ren: Where am I? What year is it? Is The trump the usa president?
Kazuma: Whoa, whoa, whoa, buddy, you're okay. Calm down.
Aqua: Kazuma,can I talk to you, please? [Leads Kazuma out of the kitchen and faces Ren] stay there. Try to rest. [Closes the doors]
Ren: You got it. I am great at resting. I rest faster than anybody.
Kazuma: Still talking.
Aqua: Um, first of all, can we take a moment to acknowledge how under control I've been?
Kazuma: Uh, amazing.
Aqua: Didn't freak out.
Kazuma: No.
Aqua: Totally calm. [Fist bumps Kazuma]
Kazuma: Thank you.
Aqua: Second of all... Megumin what the heck is going on?!
Megumin: Okay, so, remember how mitsurugi...
Aqua: Was defeated in like 4 seconds! That's him?
Megumin: Yeah.
[Back in the kitchen, Yun Yun returns to Sonic and presents him with brand new running shows in red with white straps.]
Yun Yun: So you won't hurt your feet anymore.
Ren: Really?
Yun Yun: Uh-huh.
Ren: [Takes the shoes] No one's ever given me a gift before. I gotta check that off my bucket list. And these look just like the Sonic Adventure 2 sneakers[Ren tries on the shoes and grows excited over them, which makes Yun Yun happy.]
