Saved...but at what cost?

"You okay?" He questions worriedly as he grips onto your shoulders

"I'll answer that when we get out this mess." You pant out. He scruffs your hair and you both run off to continue fighting zombies.

"Y/n!" You hear Wu-jin shout. You turn only to have Wu-jin fall on top of you and a zombie on him. A zombie bites deep down into his shoulder as he covers your body with his own. His hands on either side of you as he is on top of you.

"Wu-jin, why would you...!?" You shout Mi-jin stabs the zombie with a shovel. Dae-su also trying to attack the zombie. You try push the zombie off Wu-jin tears already leaving your eyes to see the sight of your saviour die on top of you.

"Get off of him!" Mi-jin yells as Ha-ri also shows up. You all try push the bastard off Wu-jin. It took a while but eventually the zombies was pulled off and Wu-jin collapses beside you. You crouch beside him, holding his neck where he was bit. Ha-ri coming to your side as well as Dae-su.

"Wu-jin. Damn it. Oh, no." Dae-su cries putting his hands over yours to put more pressure on the wound

"Fuck! I knew this would happen" Wu-jin grunts out. His eyes never leaving your glossy ones as your tears fell onto his face

"It's okay. it's okay." Ha-ri assures

"I knew it." He sighs out

"Wu-jin, look at me." You sobbed softly as his eyes never even left you to begin with but it felt as if he was staring right through you.

"Ha-ri. You really made it to nationals?" Wu-jin questions moving his eyes to his sister

"Mm-hm, I...I did." She hesitantly agrees

"Liar. You came to school, because you failed the preliminaries. Or else, you'd be at the tournament. If you lost, you should've gone home, why did you come to the damn school?" Wu-jin questions with anger and sadness in his tone as you tried to keep your cries quiet.

"I'm sorry." Ha-ri whispers through cries

"Hey. Keep doing archery. Okay?" Wu-jin grunts out as Ha-ri nods

"Mm-hm." She hums

"Don't give up. Okay?" He whispers

"Yeah. Yeah." She cries out. Wu-jin darts his eyes back to you slowly moving his hand to cup your cheek wiping tears but more just came out

"Y/n, i'm so proud of you...finally managing to share emotions and show them to others. Your smile is definitely something I wanted to see more..." Wu-jin mumbles as your cries got louder but yet you tried to smile for Wu-jin one last time

"Why? Why did you save me? You could've...I don't...please." You plead putting your head on his chest as his hand finds the back of your head slowly stroking your hair.

"I hope Su-hyeok treats you right, Y/n..." He trails off. A crack in his neck was heard making you cry even louder knowing whats to come.

"Wu-jin, i'm sorry. No. Not Wu-jin, please. Don't do it." Ha-ri begs as you lift your head up from Wu-jin's chest sniffling as you stared at Mi-jin

"Fuck." She mutters. You backed away a bit as Wu-jin started cracking and rolling around. He slowly started to stand. He looks over at your sitting figure that stared wide eye'd at his zombie form

"I'm sorry." Ha-ri apologises.

"If I was more aware...you wouldn't of had to save me." You blurt out. He snarled and growled at you then started charging. Nam-ra grabbed his collar then his jaw snapping it making everyone look at her shocked. Wu-jin's body fell to the floor as Su-hyeok joined the group running towards you and helping you up pulling you into a tight embrace whispering comforting words

"Su-hyeok. Wu-jin...Wu-jin...Wu-jin..." Dae-su sobs into Su-hyeok's shoulder as you cried into his chest. Su-hyeok's grip tightened seeing his dead rival yet best friend for years laid lifeless on the floor. His face scrunched up trying not to allow tears to escape. It was silent for a bit before a young girls voice was heard...screaming...a bloodcurdling scream. Your eyes widened as you forcefully pushed Su-hyeok away and started sprinting towards the sound

"SAKAE NO!"

Actually almost cried writing Wu-jin's death 😭
