I walked through the woods, with Judith strapped to my back. The prison had just been attacked by the governor and his people. The image of Hershel and his daughters screaming still haunted me.

I feel guilty every time I catch myself thinking that I wish I hadn't found Judith. Her cries echoes through the woods, like an alarm clock set to attract walkers. Luckily there was a bag of Judith's stuff next to her when I found her, but I'm running low on food to feed her.

I dragged my feet over the leaves, to tired to lift them properly. I can see the image of Daryl glaring at me and telling me that I might as well be painting an arrow to show people where we were. I wish he was here do just that. I wish he was just here. I wish that I at least knew if he was alive. If anyone was alive.

My hope had been fading away slowly, little Jude here and the mere thought of seeing Daryl again was the only thing keeping it up at the moment.

A new spark of hope fired inside me as I saw a cabin in front of me. I hope someone's there, or maybe I don't..

I walked closer, gripping my knife prepared for what could be inside. I clutched the door handle and swung the door open. On the other side I saw a big man mirroring my position.

Slowly I let my arm fall down again, and my grip around my knife loosened. I stood there for a second, before I dropped my knife and embraced the man.

"Tyreese?" I whispered. I felt the man nod into the hug.

"I can't believe it." He said as he let go of me. His eyes flickered to the baby on my back. A small laugh escaped him before he greeted Judith.

"Are you alright? Is it just you? " I asked hope laced in my voice. He so told me about Carol and what happened after the prison. I first then noticed a man with a baseball cap sitting on the floor tied up. I glanced at Tyreese with a look that asked him to elaborate. He continued to tell me about how they heard him talk about our people in a walkie-talkie .

"I should go after Carol." I said, desperately wanting to see my family and friends again.

"You're not going anywhere until you're strong enough to at least stand properly. You're a mess, and you need rest and food." He said. I knew he was right, so I didn't bother arguing. He took Judith of me and found me something to eat. I pretty much inhaled the food, almost choking.

"Easy there woman, slow down." Tyreese laughed and took my plate back. He laid a blanket down and pointed me to lay down. And I did. Before I knew it sleep consumed me and my mind shut off.

—————-

I woke up to hushed voices arguing. I forced my eyes open to see the man who once was tied up, now standing over Judith's crib. Tyreese caught my look, and signalised for me to lay still. I then heard the moans and cries of walkers outside. Tyreese held his hands up as he stepped outside. I wanted to jump up and stop him, but I knew that wasn't an option. I carefully lifted my gaze back to the man.

"Stupid man." He muttered to himself. I slowly grabbed my knife from my belt, careful not to make a sound. Both the walkers and Tyreese's screams slowly quieted down, filling me with worry. The man stepped away from Judith and moved slowly to the window to check if Tyreese was dead.

I saw my chance and jumped up to attack him. I sprinted to him and plunged my knife in the back of his head before he could react. His body fell limp against me and I moved to the side, letting him fall.

Not a second later, the door flung open, and a blood covered Tyreese stepped in. I quickly walked over to him, making sure he was okay.

I held Judith close, not feeling comfortable with laying her in the crib.

I then heard Tyreese calling my name from outside. I quickly ran to him, with Judith still in my arms.

When I stepped outside I stopped in my tracks as a group of people stood in front of me. My group. My family. A teary eyed Rick looked from me to the baby in my arms and approached me as he let quiet sobs out.

I let him hold his daughter and watched the man and his son reunite with the baby. Suddenly I was thrown back in a bone crushing hug. I quickly hugged back when I saw the black hair of the Korean boy I grew to love. He let go again and muttered a quick sorry. I laughed and ruffled his hair before he stepped away.

I looked up again and I locked eyes with the familiar ocean blue eyes I'd recognise from a mile away. The man slowly approached me before running to me. I met him and held him closer then ever. His hands tangled in my hair and I curled my fists around his shirt.

"I've been lookin' for ye. Thought I lost ye." The redneck whispered into my hair. I pulled away form him and brushed a few strands of hair from his face, and wiped a tear from his cheek before cupping his face.

"You could never loose me." I whispered before I kissed him.
