(2) Hello, Pyro

"Ah, finally," you beamed, falling into your mattress. Today was another successful day... mostly. You did manage to scratch your Sniper while in cat form. To be fair, it was an accident! The team colors look so similar in your cat eyes. He understood, though, so it was fine soon after.
Another incident happened, too. Pyro got so distracted by you that multiple Blus ran right past him and stole the briefcase! No one said it was your fault, but you should've done something instead of freezing up the way you did. At least that's what you kept telling yourself.
Okay, so you guys lost. You still won today, don't forget! It just felt so brutal. Losing, I mean. You knew deep down it wasn't true, but a part of you wondered if this new cat class thing was only holding your team back. It's an exciting idea on paper, but was it really that helpful?
"Yikes, I need to think less," you muttered, pulling out your phone. Time to read fan fiction and forget about reality for a minute. You died multiple times today, after all. It was painful. You deserve some shame-free alone time!

Some time passed, and you felt relaxed for the first time in hours. Your mind drifted from what you were reading, and your thoughts drifted to your team. This is such a strange experience, isn't it? With you being on the team in the first place, for one, and the fact that all of them are just straight-up weird. You didn't fully understand the situation you were in. You wouldn't be in it if it wasn't for your mom, anyway. She said you absolutely needed the money. Despite everything she's done, you felt that the idea to come here was good, actually. You liked how weird they were. You fit right in.

Out of nowhere, you heard knocking on your door. It opened before you could respond, causing you to sit up very quickly and panic a bit.
"Hm..!" you heard. Oh, it's Pyro. What is he doing here?
"Hello..." you greeted, although confusion laced your voice. He walked into the room, allowing you to see him fully. He stood a tiny bit slouched and held a pink unicorn you have never seen before. "Uh, Pyro, could you knock and then wait for my response before coming in?" He made a small noise of acknowledgment before looking down at the ground. "It's okay!!... Anyway, what's the matter?"
"Hm hadm a nigmarem..." he said, although extremely muffled. That's how it was all the time though. Luckily for you, you've had to babysit before, allowing you to learn the art of understanding strange speech patterns and mumbling.
"Aw, a nightmare?" you asked. Pyro nodded. "You can sleep in my room if that makes you more comfortable. I'll go get you a blanket, okay?"
"Hmhn!" he yelled, running toward you. You gasped and backed away, startled by his sudden charge. It was a wonder how he still managed to jump-scare you after doing these things constantly. Maybe you just need more time to adjust.
Without a word, Pyro jumped into your bed. His weight made you bounce on the bed for a moment. The both of you laughed, looking toward each other.
"Is there anything else you need, Pyro?" He paused to think before opening his arms. "A hug?" With his nod, you embraced him. He signed with contentment. "Why don't you tell me what happened in your nightmare?"
"Okahm... Welm, I mas mumhmhm- (Okay... Well, I was walking down this tunnel. It was dark. at the end, I saw you sitting on a fence. I got excited because you were a cat. Then, out of nowhere, a pigeon came and took you away!)" he pushed you away slightly to stare at your face. At least that's where you thought he was looking.
"A... a pigeon?"
"Hm!(Yes!)"
"I can assure you that won't ever happen."
"Yohm meallyhm shhmh(You really sure?)" You laughed a bit and hugged him again.
"Yes, I'm very sure. Plus, I feel like the pigeon would be too scared I'd eat it, anyways. Not just that... what would it do if I turned back into a human? Even if I lost my transformer I can still turn back. I'll just have to eat a lot of sandviches after.... Wait... sandviches..?" Pyro's mood changed, and you felt as if he was feeling a bit happier. "Why don't you get some sleep? I'll just go get blankets for myself." Pyro looked at your bed, then pointed to himself with what you thought to be a questioning look. "Yeah, you can have my bed. Sleeping on the floor isn't too bad. That might just be the cat talking, though." You paused and then smiled at him, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Okay, goodnight, Pyro."
"Ghmhm(Goodnight)," he replied. You got up from the bed, he laid down, and you pulled the covers over him. It's probably good Pyro came. It will encourage you not to get distracted and stay up again.

The time was currently 3:45 am, and you woke up for some reason.  You turned over and almost screamed! Next to you was Pyro, hugging his unicorn very tightly.
"Pyro..." You sighed. It's not like you're going to kick him out. Instead, you're going to awkwardly try to go back to sleep. Hopefully, the mission tomorrow is a fun one!
