six was the first on broadway musical i saw!!! it was my first time getting an actual playbill and i was screaming internally as i held the thing. i actually didn't know we were even seeing it until the morning of, my mom surprised me.
me: *wakes up to my mom trying to get me awake* why are you waking me up? we're staying home all day.
mom: do you want to go to chicago?
me: *confused bc it's like 7am, and i've just been woken up* what?
mom: do you want to go see six in chicago?
me: uh, yes?
so, it was a surprise, and i'm rlly happy my mom took me to see it without having like any knowledge of it beforehand. so yeah, me and my mom drove like four hours to go see it, and ofc we had to get chick-fil-a on the way, (bc we're cool like that).
i went to see the aragon tour, which included khalia wilcox, (💛), storm lever, (💚), jasmine forsberg, (🤍), olivia donalson, (❤), didi romero, (🩷), and gabriela carrillo, (💙), as it's queens! i think they all had such fantastic voices and riffs and did a great job at representing their characters. i hope i get to see them again in something else, or in six once more.
my favorite queen has to be katherine howard. i've always loved her, and it did not change with the aragon tour. i love didi's riffs, and she had such a lovely voice. (i could compliment this cast for hours on end, believe me).
and for favorite song, it probably had to be heart of stone! it really grew from being one of my least favorites to one of my tops. i think jasmine sounded great, and her high notes were perfect, and i aspire to sound like her one day tbh. her rendition of hos was different from abby's and i loved how she modified it. my mom's was haus of holbien.
so yeah, a really fun experience, and i hope i'm lucky enough to get tickets again!
