Caiah rolled over to her stomach and kicked her feet in the air while watching Caius over the camera. "When are you coming? Can you bring food?" she questioned.

"Hell no. We gotta help your mom first and then you can get food. I'll be there in like twenty minutes." he said.

"One, two, three-"

Caius quickly cut her off before she could finish, "You not about to count all the seconds until I get there." Caiah pouted once he said this and pushed her eyebrows together to show him that she was angry.

"I can count to twenty!" she defended, and it then hit Caius that she didn't even have a concept of time yet. Twenty minutes to her was her simply counting to twenty really slow.

"Just sing or somethin' Caiah, it'll be faster." he suggested instead because he wasn't about to give a three year old a math lesson about how time worked. And luckily for Caius, the suggestion worked and she was no longer worried about counting.

Caiah began to sing to him over the phone, he wasn't sure what she was singing, but assumed it came from some kind of cartoon she watched. Judging by the corny lyrics of it all. He had half a mind to turn up his radio all the way just to drown her out, but he wouldn't do that. He was the one who told her to sing anyway so if he got hearing damage from a three year olds off key singing, he knew that was his fault.

After exactly twenty minutes of Caiah singing and getting out of breath before starting back up again, Caius was finally at Cyera's home. Still on the phone, approaching her door while Caiah paid that no mind and sung her favorite Frozen song for what felt like the hundredth time for Caius.

That is, until she heard a loud knocking at the front door. Caiah stopped and looked over her shoulder before looking back at the camera. "Someone's at the door Cai!" she exclaimed, making him suck his teeth.

"You know damn well it's me Caiah, come open the door." he ordered.

But Caiah wanted to play with him a bit, rolling off of her mother's bed, she walked as slow as she could to the front door. "Coming..." she sang, dragging the word as slow as she was walking. Caius pinched the bridge of his nose, trying his hardest not to just break down the door and get in himself. Once Caiah made it, which felt like forever to Caius, she paused.

"What's the password?"

"Motherfu-" he almost said, but stopped himself from cursing out a child, Cyera's child at that. "I don't know bruh. Chicken nuggets or sum?" he guessed.

"Yeah!" Caiah confirmed, surprising him that he actually got it right. Caiah stood on her tip toes and reached up to turn the locks the opposite direction before twisting the handle to the door and opening it with a smile on her face. "Hi Cai!" she waved, earning a little smile from Caius at the nickname she gave him.

He shut the door behind him with his foot, hanging up their call in the process, and kneeled down in front of her so that their faces were level, "What's up pretty girl? It's nice to finally meet you." he said, holding his hand out for her to shake.

Caiah giggled at their close proximity, and grabbed his hand. "N- Nice to meet you Cai." she said, jerking her arm up and down to shake his hand.

After a second, she stopped, but Caius didn't pull her hand out of his. He simply stood up to his full height, keeping their palms together, "Can we go see mommy now?" he asked.
