"Get up, Aurora. Time for school." My mom shook me. "Your alarm didn't go off. Scarletts waiting for you outside."

I groan and swat her hand away. "Okay, I'll be downstairs in five minutes." I say wiping the sleep from my eyes.

After my mom exits my room, closing the door behind her, I stand from my bed and throw on a black lacy tank top with a black knitted oversized sweatshirt overtop, black skin tight leggings, matched with some mascara and brush out my blonde hair. I walk to my bathroom and brush my teeth while dancing on the spot, humming the song 'Champagne Supernova' by Oasis. I have to keep reminding myself that only one more month of school, and I graduate from that dumb place. The weather is bipolar in Canada, it picks and chooses if it's cold or warm every day. I tend to dress warm, just in case.

I quickly grab my backpack and run downstairs. Scarlett sees me from outside and opens my door to speak to me. "Wow, looking nice." She laughs at my attempt to look good in the time span of five minutes. "Yeah, well I'd like to see you do better." I say while slipping on my black sneakers.

"Bullshit, I look good at any time of the day, especially in the morning."

"Bullshit." I use her words against her.

Scarlett has dark brown hair and brown eyes. She's wearing a Nirvana T shirt with black ripped jeans with combat boots. Girl is emo and I love it. Her makeup is always remarkable. I wish I could do eyeliner like that.

I grab a water bottle and pull my Levetiracetam medication out my bag and swallow three pills. I have epilepsy, If I don't get enough sleep or if I don't eat enough I'll have a seizure. I know my triggers by now.

Scarlett is older than me, same with all of her friends. They all seem to have an early birthday as mine is in July, I just pretend i'm eighteen. I usually keep to myself, reading my embarrassingly romantic books. I've only been hanging around her group of friends since the beginning of school in September, obviously Scarlett forced me to hangout everyday.

"Okay hurry up, we have to get to class." We have health class together.

"Yeah, yeah." I walk out onto the porch, and down my front steps, Scarlett walking beside me on the sidewalk while we walk to school.

"Harvey, and Silas are meeting us at the top of our street." Scarlett says matter of fact like.

"Okay. Fine." I respond nonchalantly.

Harvey has blonde hair, his eyes look brownish green, he's a little taller than Scarlett who's 5'9, maybe he's 5' 11? He's nice, the only one of Scarlett's friends that I like.

Then there's Silas, a total sarcastic jackass. He towers over everyone, maybe 6'5, he has messy black hair that sometimes covers his green eyes, and he's a pretty messed up dude. I mean, anger issues and all. I saw him punch some guy for accidentally knocking shoulders with him, not someone I'd enjoy hanging around.

"Hey!" I hear Harvey call from beside us, Silas, Josephine and Harvey come walking towards us. I wasn't told Josephine was meeting us. Josephine has red hair, she's 5'6, and she's super smart, you need answers? She's got them all for you. Harvey is wearing a dark green sweatshirt matched with light blue jeans, Silas is wearing a grey shirt with a leather jacket overtop and jeans. Is he a typical watt-pad bad boy? Yes. Josephine is wearing mom jeans and a plaid sweatshirt with her red curled hair springing on her shoulders.

Josephine yanks me into a hug when they reach us. "Hi!" She squeaks.

"Hi." I responded, hugging her back.

We all continued to walk to school, Scarlett, Harvey and Josephine leading us. Leaving me behind them with Silas. I don't mind, I have headphones in... Until my left earbud, the one beside Silas, is pulled from my ear. I looked up to see Silas shoving an earbud into his ear, he wrapped his arm around my shoulders because the cord wasn't long enough to reach his skyscraper self. He hasn't said anything, just walks beside me, listening to "Every Time We Touch" by Cascada.  That's weird, he's not even complaining about the music. It almost makes me laugh thinking about him sitting in his room listening to Cascada. He's so close to me, we're literally touching sides but also not admitting I hate it.
