"So it is true The Phoenix Alpha wants to make a move on us"
Trina commented

Trina... it has been a while

Peter yells once again

Ozi stares at me with a raised brow
"Seriously
He is your Alpha?"

"Look there's not enough time to explain, Drulock and his blood thirsty army are going to burst into moon bound any moment now, i promise to explain let's just make it through tonight, okay?"

Everyone stared at me in silence, I didn't miss the look of Shame spread on Beta Cains face.

"We are just going to trust him? What proof do we have that Raven wasn't sent here by Drulock to kill us all, I mean he would have a strong enough reason to"
Yuri finally spoke but was interrupted by Dominic

"Enough Yuri"
He tugged his hands away from her hold then walks up to where I was stood

"I am with Raven"
Hearing him call my name out loud makes my knees weak

"I am not going to wait until my pack is completely burnt to the ground before doing something"
A familiar voice stepped out from the shadows

Luther?

He's here instead of Alpha Cyril, which is really strange.

He also stood by my side

Vanessa runs into the hall pausing slightly when she saw me
"Ravy?"
She muttered with furrowed brows

"Rouge packs were seen approaching the forests behind moon bound!"
I heard Miracle say walking in behind her

The council quickly became unsettled.

"The blood moon and the news about what happened to clawed moon pack must be giving rouge packs ideas"
Niola scuffs

Wait, what happened to clawed moon?

Niola gave out instructions as she made her way out of the hall only stopping when she got to where I was stood, nodding slightly before marching down the hall

I quickly followed behind her
Yes I was running away from Dominic

"Raven hold on"
I heard him yell, sprinting after me.

"Is that him?"
Ozi asked, a smile spread across his face
"He's cute"

"Raven"
Dominic pulls on my arm when he finally catches up with us
"four years later and I still have to chase you down the hall"

"This isn't the time nor the place do-Dominic"
My voice was shaky and unclear

I've brought down countless rouge packs single handedly but here I am crumbling in the presence of one man

"Yeah, yes you are right. I am not here to disturb you with any of the nonsense from before. But waw it has been four years, you look different a bit skinny though but nice nonetheless, I mean if it ever came to a question of looks you always look nice to me, not only to me but to everyone else"
He paused
"I'm talking too much"
Covering his face with his hands making me smile at his childish gestures

We were joined by Vanessa and Miracle, Vanessa who almost tackled me to the ground with a bear hug

"Help I can't breathe"
I tried wiggled my way out of her reach

"I am sorry, its just that I have missed you so much. You weren't kidding in the note you left 'for Beta for worse' it's just a pity that it had to be for worse"
She said pulling on my cheeks. I don't know if that was what caused the pink of my cheeks or knowing that she read the cheesy note I left for Dominic before leaving him.

"Hi Raven"
Miracle said, a wide smile was spread across his face
I hesitated for a bit but eventually pulled him in for a brief bro hug

I really hope we don't die tonight, I'd hate to not get to meet Cassandra

"I'll head on to moon claw with Luther to mobilize werewolvess incase we need backup" Miracle said before excusing himself

'we will need all the help we can get'
I mind linked him

"Niola probably needs me"
Vanessa says gesturing towards the wall, no doubt she just wants to give Dominic and I some privacy
"Come on"
She whispered pulling Ozi along with her

"So uhmm...Dominic"
I said awkwardly, cringing inside

After what felt like hours of awkward silence but was in reality only 30 seconds Dominic pulled me into a tight hug.

"What took you so long"
I said in a whisper, my body tingled in the places our body made contact.
I didn't waste anymore time before wrapping my arms around him too

"I have missed you too"
Dominic said, burying his head on my neck.

The world around us was crumbling but this moment...it felt like the time around us paused and I wish it actually did. who would have thought that after being away for so long I would finally get the chance to hold my best friend so close again

I don't care what anyone thinks, fuck Peter fuck Yuri, fuck the moon goddess, fuck the mate bond, if we survive tonight I am never leaving his side.

If we survive tonight...
The uncertainty that statement holds sends a cold shiver down my spine
I can't allow anything happen to Dominic

We finally pulled back to stare at each others face.
I can never get tired of staring at those blue eyes of his.

'Mark mate...'
My wolf growls

I quickly create some space between us
"We should probably meet with the others"

"Yeah, you're right"

We walk together side by side down the familiar hall way occasionally glancing at each other...

If I die tonight, I die happy because I got to see him again

Dominic suddenly stopped, also bring me to a halt
"What's the matter?"
I asked concerned, I couldn't quite read the expression on his face.

"If you die tonight, I must have died first before that happens"
Dominic replied, holding my hands In his and squeezing them softly
