it came out more as a command than a question, and it caused a giggle to ripple through xenoia's throat.

the blush on jude's face was adorably blinding and xenoia reached out a hand to pinch his cheek, "of course i will, boyfriend."

his smile was gleaming, competed against the moon that glared so brightly in the midnight blue above, and xenoia couldn't fight the same grin that crawled upon her face.

"we'll stay private?"

"whatever you want, love."

xenoia thought for a bit, "just until we get back to england. figure out whether it's suitable to out us or not."

"fine by me."

jude broke the eye contact, looking down  in his lap as he uttered the next few words, "we can survive the distance, right?"

xenoia stilled. she had almost forgotten the current situation they were in; they both had completely different lives in completely different areas. with jude living in germany and only going over to birmingham occasionally, it was unsaid but undoubtedly known that they would barely see each other. and it didn't help that xenoia's university was nowhere near birmingham, either.

"i believe we can, jude. i don't know the next time we'll see each other after this but-"

"qatar. come with us."

xenoia sighed. they had already been over this.

"jude, i told you, i can't. i'm in first year uni, i can't just miss out on classes like that."

jude frowned, "yeah, i get it."

xenoia's palm rested upon his cheek, warmed by his heated skin. he leaned into it slightly, brown eyes gazing into hers.

"if you make it to the finals, and i will be there, i promise you."

jude's face lit up like a child, and her heart swooned.

"really?!"

jude raised a pinky, "pinky promise?"

then xenoia curled hers around his.

"pinky promise."
