The next day Vaela walked through the land surrounding the red keep as she admires the place she once called home.
She looked around before looking down to see a flower.
A single flower.
She picked it before smiling.
Suddenly she heard cheering.
She looked over to see two men sparing.
She stood there and watched before seeing someone she dreamed of constantly.
She watched as Aemond fought a confident knight with a heavy-looking spiked weapon.
She walked forward and watched the fight as she tightened her grasp on the flower in her feminine hands.
She watched the way he moved as her body warmed up from watching him.
He was no longer the sweet boy she roamed the castle with.
He was a handsome man with skill and confidence.
She smiled and clapped as he won causing him to look at her.
He looked at her causing her to melt "Neice.
Have you come to watch me win again the mightiest knights of the red keep" said Aemond.
She smiled before rushing to him.
She wrapped her arms around him as tears pooled in her eyes.
She had never been so happy to see him.
"I've missed you," he said.
She stuffed her head into his neck "As have I my prince" she said into his neck causing him to feel her hot and soft breaths.
"When did you arrive?" he asked.
"This morning.
I and my family are here to see Viserys but secretly I came to see you" she said.
She looked at him and smiled "I must go now.
If anyone from the court sees me here rumours could spread" she said.
"They can't continue to keep us apart" he said.
"They can and they will continue to no matter what I say or do.
My parents despise your mother and you and your siblings.
Daemon would cut out your eye and im very fond of your eye.
Both of them" she said before kissing her cheek.
She then took his arm and placed the flower she found in his hand as he looked at her as he grasped her arm not wanting to be away from her after six years of seeing her only in his dreams.
She walked away from him as he let go of her arm.
She walked back into the castle.
Vaela walked through the castle as she placed her hand on the wall feeling the surface.
She then walked into her chambers.
She walked to the window and looked out of it to see Aemond.
She watched as he admired the flower in his hand before speaking to sir criston.
She leaned against the window as the door opened.
She ignored it as she drew circles on her hand as she memorized the feeling of his arms around her.
"How are you settling in?" Rhaenyra asked.
"I wish I never left.
It's as if all the fond memories I lost over the six years have come back" she said.
"We will be staying for seven days before returning to dragon stone," Rhaenyra said.
"Seven days?" Vaela said as her face dropped.
"We do not belong here Vaela," she said.
"Could I not stay here?" she asked.
"Your father would not allow you to stay here and frankly I do not wish for you to stay here either," she said.
"You are to be married soon.
You are needed back in dragonstone" said Rhaenyra.
Vaela looked at her hands as sorrow filled her "Yes mother" she said as all the joy she felt burned to ash.
