"Ellam unnalathanna! Thoongumoonji... Nilluda Dei!!"

(It's all because of you!! Sleepy Head!! Stop there I say!")

Raghu who just came back from his morning walk relaxed himself in the easy chair in the verandah, while leisurely enjoying the Tom and Jerry fight of his children as usual. This was one of his main entertainment, apart from movies, radio, books and TV.

"Savi! Oru coffee please!" He asked from his easy chair, taking the newspaper in his hand to know the current affairs of the day.

(Savi, one coffee please!)

"Come and take it from here! I'm not coming inbetween this Tom n Jerry race!" Savithri replied keeping the hot coffee in the dining table.  He carefully comes inside, without disturbing their cat and mouse chase race.

After playing the chasing game for about half an hour, the brother sister duo became exhausted and crashed the sofa, panting heavily. Swetha, looking at their exhausted faces, brought their favourite tea and malt and gave them, laughing at their childish behaviour.

"You both won't change at all!" she said, helping Janani to unbraid her thick long hair. Since it was Sunday, she had to take a head bath, which she dislikes the most.

"Jaanu, I've kept the shampoo in the mirror shelf, take that and have a nice bath, don't try to dodge me, telling that it was over like last week. I've kept a brand new sachet there!" Swetha advises while giving her  hair an oil massage.

"Yes, swetha advise her nicely, atleast she listens to you sometimes!" Savithri replied from the kitchen, hearing her daughter in law's advise to Janani.

Looking at their bond, no one is ready to believe that they are mother in law and daughter in law.

"Ammaa!" Jaanu whines, hearing her mother's statement.

"What Ammaa? Athai is absolutely right! You don't listen to her at all. She's so pavam" (pitiful) Swetha supports her mother in law, just like she always does.

"Correct Pondatti!" Kowshik too joins her, earning a hard smack from his little sister.

"Aww! Anna, neeyum ah?" she asks dumbfounded.

(Brother, you too?)

"Nane than!" he chuckles, pulling her cheeks.

(Ofcourse, it's me!!)

"Aww! Its paining" she says, rubbing her cheeks.

"Don't pull her cheeks Mr. Husband! My baby is very pitiful!" Swetha chides her husband in favour of Jaanu.

Raghupati has a hearty laugh observing the state of his poor son, who got trapped between three ladies unknowingly, and feels confused.

"Kowshik, it's better you leave now, it's for your own good I say!" Raghu gestures his son get up and run away from there.

"Ennanga/Appaa?/ Mamaa" all three yell at the same time. He gives them a I-dont-know-look before walking out once again.

To be continued!

*****

This is just glimpse of Janani's everyday life, which is filled with joy, happiness bickerings and banters. And ofcourse, some fights as well. After all, relationships without fights is like food without salt. Fights have equal importance in every relationship, they prove the depth of a relationship.
