Percy POV

We walked for many days trying to stay out of the sight of most monsters, and mortals. The scent of a big three child, and a god had to be very over powering to many monsters, but surprisingly we made it to the Roman camp, without a single monster attack. We walked up to the entrance with the two people that i had hoped to visit, Frank and Hazel. I hit the button on my watch, for my armor, and finished walking up. They each drew their respective weapons, and pointed them at me, and Artemis. I was about to tell them to not worry, but before I could, an arrow suddenly started to fly toward me. My mind went into overload, and I dodged , while pulling out my sword, and slicing it in half. I heard another arrow be released, and again i dodged, and i yelled. "Frank stop I'm a friend." I saw him look down another loaded arrow. Hazel hand her spatha pulled out, and held at the ready. "Who are you? I've never met you, and who is that woman with you?" I looked behind me, and saw Artemis with her bow ready, but not pulled to fire. I turned back toward Frank, and said. "We don't mean you any harm. We actually are from Camp Half-blood." "Then go back where you came from. We don't want anything to do with that traitorous camp." I looked back, and suddenly I saw Artemis start to glow. I saw Frank and Hazel turn, and I followed their lead, and turned my head. When the glow faded, Diana, stood behind me. "Listen little heroes, we have not come to be turned away. Since you will not listen to this hero here, you will listen to me. Let us through." The look on their faces, was almost comical. I smiled as i walked up to them, and said. "Thanks Frank." I put my sword away, and walked through the tunnels, with Diana following behind me. She definitely looked like a roman goddess alright. She looked at me, and suddenly she was back to Artemis. I smiled, and held out my hand. She smiled, and grasped it. I pulled her closer, and let our clasped hands swing in between us. "You know," I said as we continued walking. "I could've gotten past them." She smiled, and kisses my cheek. "I know." With that we walked into the Roman camp. Suddenly the horns blew signalling that something was about to attack the camp. I turned, and saw monsters lining the hills that surrounded the camp. I looked at Artemis. She looked back, and I knew that we were thinking the same thing. I pulled out my bow, and slowly pulled the string back to my ear. I released, and I hit the monster I was aiming for. I was slightly surprised. I hadn't had any lesson's yet. Artemis looked at me as she unloaded her quiver at a predicious rate. "I told you it was just like a sword. You have to have one that fits perfectly for you, or else it will not accomplish what it could normally." I smiled. "You are right. As usual." She smiled, and turned back toward the monsters swarming over the hills. I continued to launch arrows into the fray as well, but i took off running as well. As soon as I reached the descending monsters I let my bow disappear, and pulled out my sword, and started fighting a cyclops. The crazy thing was that it looked kind of familiar. I shuddered inwardly as i recognized her. It was Ma Gasket. "I will kill the demigods, especially Jason, Piper and that meddlesome Leo." That was always what she said. She looked at me, and said, "You smell like a demigod, but something else as well." I nodded, and turned into a wolf, and struck. The look on her face, as she turned into dust was one of shock, and fear. I turned back into a human, and fought for my life, even though I really couldn't die. I burned monster, froze the water in their blood, and even lit my sword on fire. I turned it into an ax, and threw it into a couple of monsters. Suddenly, a monster attacked me, but luckily I rolled out of the way. I came up standing with my bow in hand. I shot, and the monster disappeared into a cloud of dust. I waited for the next monster to attack me, but it never came. I looked around, and saw that there were no more monsters around me. I looked for the campers, and realized that they were all standing behind me. Jason, Piper, Reyna, Frank, and Hazel all stood at the front of the army, with their weapons drawn. "Who are you?" Jason asked. I sighed. "You used to know me, but no longer." I whispered. Pipers eyebrows tightened, as if she were thinking hard. She looked up slowly, and said. "This makes no sense, how can we not know you now, if we knew you before?" I turned into a wolf, and said. "If you will please lead to a place we can talk privately, then i will show you." Reyna turned and walked away, with Frank walking beside her, and Piper, Jason, and Hazel all turned and followed. I padded after them, while Artemis followed along side me. She laid her hand on my back, and I turned to her. "Be careful Alpha. They may be your friends, but remember, they have an order from Jupiter, to kill you on sight." She whispered. I nodded, and turned forward to continue following my friends. They walked into the command building, where Reyna first took me when I originally came to camp Jupiter. I walked in, and sat on the floor in front of the desk, where Reyna, and Frank sat in the two high backed chairs. The two dogs auroum, argetum looked at me, and whimpered. Reyna looked at her dogs, then turned toward me. Her face showed just a little fear, but i could only tell that because I could smell it. "My dogs are scared of you. Would you please explain why that is?" I looked at her, and let out a slight growl. All five of the group jumped back, and reached for their weapons. I turned back into a human, with my sword on my back, and my armor on. I looked at all of my friends, and said, "You know who I am, but I need to ask a couple things before I show who i am." They all looked at each other. Then Frank said. "Agreed, but we will find out before this is all over." I looked at him, and realized that he had taken his role as a Praetor very seriously. He looked more confident, but I could still tell that the same loyal Frank was under his new appearance. I looked at all of my old friends, and realized that they were all the same people that i knew while we were on the Argo II. I looked back at Reyna, and said, "You used to know me as a hero, but I don't know how you would see me now. So i would like to ask a couple personal questions." They nodded, Frank indicated for me to continue. "Have any of you had any contact with Percy Jackson?" They looked at each other, and I could tell that they were sad. I had ignored them because I thought that they would try to kill me should I ever show my face near Camp Jupiter. However, when I looked at them, I knew that my absence had hurt them greatly. They all shook their heads as they looked at me. "No we haven't." said Reyna. "Ever since he left Camp Half-Blood. We haven't heard from him since. We keep hoping that he will come here, but I think he thinks we will kill him because the gods have told us to." I looked at her, and asked. "You wouldn't kill him?" They all shook their heads. "No we wouldn't. In fact we would offer him asylum here. He would be safe here." I nodded. "That's all I needed to know." I reached up for my helmet, but before I could, Jason pulled out his gladius. "Why do you want to know about Percy? If you are looking to harm him, then you will be hunted by the entire Roman army here. You will not leave here alive. How do we know that you weren't sent here by the gods, to test us?" Suddenly every person looked at me with a little bit of anger. They all started to stand, but I raised my hand and pulled my sword out and showed it to them. That made them jump back, and they almost attacked me right away. "How did you get his sword." Yelled Hazel. I could feel her trying to pull it from my hands with her power. I smiled, and held on. I hit my wrist, and suddenly my armor shrunk back into a watch. I could feel the pull on my sword lessen as what they were seeing registered on each of their faces. "Percy?!!" Piper whispered. I nodded and smiled, as I put my sword away. She and Hazel both rushed forward, and wrapped me in a hug. I turned toward them shocked. I hesitantly wrapped my arms around them, and gave them a quick hug. Jason came over, and laid a hand on my shoulder. Then pulled me into a quick embrace. I smiled, then Reyna stood up, and I pushed everyone else off. She walked straight up to me, and pulled out a dagger. I was about to hit the button for my shield, but before I could, her dogs growled. We all stopped, then they came and walked up to me. They turned, and looked at Reyna, and growled again. This was new. I knew that these two dogs, would never turn on their master. Apparently Reyna knew that as well, because she backed up and sheathed her dagger. I looked at the two dogs, and I saw in their ruby eyes, that they were intelligent. I looked at Frank and Reyna kind of scared. "Apparently my dogs, don't just fear you, they respect you." I looked at Reyna kind of shocked. "What do you mean they respect me? Is it just because I am a wolf now, or is there another reason?" She looked at me as if I was crazy. "What do you mean you are a wolf? I know what we saw before, but when you say you are a wolf does that mean what I think it means?" I looked at her, and nodded. The look on her face was one of shock. "Please tell us your story Percy." She said, as she went to sit down in her chair. "Okay, I will. However it is a long story, and you might all want to sit down before i begin." They all walked out the door, and soon were dragging chairs back into the room. I turned into a wolf, and laid down, and curled into a ball. I laid my head on my paws, and started speaking. "It all started a couple weeks after the giant war." I started telling them my story from the very beginning. I told them how Ryan turned the entire camp against me, how I left the camp, how I watched as my parents' apartment blew up, how the wolf attacked me, turning me into a werewolf, how Artemis found me. At this point I saw Artemis blush. I continued telling my story, until two hours had passed, and my story was done. I looked at them, and saw that most of them had either a look of utter betrayal, regret, and anger. The silence stayed till the horn sounded for the legion to line up. We all got up, and walked toward the door. Everyone walked out as Jason held the door. I changed back into human form, and hit my armor button. I pulled my helmet down, and walked out the door toward the legion. As we walked there Frank turned around and said, "Percy do you have a name that she should call you while here?" I nodded my head, and said "Yes. My name will be Alpha, please only call my Percy when we are alone." They all nodded, and continued in a measured pace. Reyna turned around, and said "Percy, will you join us for the war game tonight?" I smiled and looked at her. "No Reyna, I can't. It wouldn't be fair." She nodded. "Same old Percy." She smiled, and turned back around. I looked at Artemis who reached over, and grabbed my hand. I smiled, even though she couldn't see it, then said. "Well I may help the losing side." I said with a quick wink to Artemis. Artemis rolled her eyes. She knew what I meant. We stood up front with the lieutenants, until the roll call was over. Reyna walked up to address the assembled legion. She cleared her throat, and said, "Legion, and legionnaires, these are guests, and they are to be treated as such. Please don't ask who they are. They will tell you when they are ready." All the legion nodded, but Dakota came up, and asked, "Reyna, may I ask who this person in the armor is? I trust you to not let anyone who is an enemy in, but do you know who he is?" Before Reyna could react, I felt the air around me change, as Artemis changed into Diana. Everyone gasped, and started to bow. She raised her hand to stop them. "Everyone, this is Alpha. I trust him, with my life, and with the lives of my hunters. Don't you dare question him, or you will answer to me." The fear in their faces, made me glad that I was on her side. She turned back into Artemis, and reached for my hand. I grasped her hand, and walked beside her. She looked at me, and I understood what she meant. I turned into a wolf, and growled slightly. The soldiers jumped slightly, and suddenly Dakota, wasn't so interested in asking who I was. "Well," said Frank. "That settles that. Legion dismissed." Everyone broke away and ran toward the mess hall. I walked there with Artemis, Reyna, Frank, Jason, Piper, and Hazel. "Well that went well." Whispered Hazel. I let out a slight chuckle. "Well it was better than my first time at Camp Half-Blood." Everyone smiled, they had all heard the story. I was hoping for that. I wanted them to be at ease around me, I wanted my friends back. We walked into the dining facility, and found a set of empty couches. I lay down on the ground in my wolf form and not expecting to be fed, but what happened next surprised me. One of the air nymphs set down a plate of bar-b-q. I nodded my head in thanks and wolfed down the food. After sitting and talking for an hour or so Reyna stood up. The area got very quiet very quickly. Everyone looked at her expectantly. I noticed some even reaching for their weapons in anticipation of the game. "As you all know we have some guests with us tonight. These," she indicated Artemis and I. "Are our guests, and you all are to treat them respectfully." I saw several of the heads nod, but I also saw a few look at me with utter loathing. "You will be released for the game in just a second, but before I do there are introductions that need to take place." She motioned her hand for me to stand. I stood on up, and walks over to stand beside Reyna. I was kind of startled to see that she only came up to my shoulder. She laid a hand on my shoulder and said, "This is Alpha. He is my guest, and personal friend. He is also the protector of the hunters of Artemis." I looked around, and saw that those who were looking at me weird before suddenly had an evil glint in their eyes. I made sure to notice go they were and to memorize their sent so that the would never be able to sneak up on me. Luckily it was only two boys. Next Reyna motioned for Artemis to stand. She came over, and climbed onto my back, as if I was a small horse, which I guess I might as well be. Reyna indicated Artemis, and said, "And this is Artemis." Many of the people in the crowd looked astonished. "Dismissed." yelled Reyna. Everybody was soon gone getting ready for the game. Reyna turned toward us and said. "You should get ready too." With that she turned and walked away.
