Love was a very strong word, it's something that you should use carefully and be sure it was something you actually mean before you say it to someone. But people now adays seem to just throw it out like it's nothing. Love was something that Camila never understood as she has never been in love with anyone. She thought she loved Austin but after their break up she realized what she felt for the boy wasn't love and she couldn't help but wonder if she would ever know what the word meant and what it would feel like to be in love.

Why couldn't things ever be easy? Things for Camila were always complicated as she had such high expectations with her parents as they already had the idea on what they would like for her to do. Her parents were never happy about Austin so when they heard about the break up, they couldn't be anymore happier. There was this one boy at the church that Camila's mom always tried to hook Camila up with but Camila didn't have any kind of attraction towards the boy and whenever her mom would bring it up Camila always had to tell her that she didn't like him like that. And that he was just like a brother to her, plus she knew he was already dating someone, but no one knew that as his parents wouldn't like who he was dating as she wasn't apart of the church or even believed in the religion. Everyone knew that if his parents found out they would ban him from seeing her or send him off to some Catholic boarding school so he would find a nice religious girl.

Yeah Camila was a strong believer but there were some things that she couldn't help but question, she didn't have a problem with some of the stuff that her parents didn't like. One being gay marriage and people being in a relationship with the same sex. Cause to her love is love and if you fall in love with someone that happened to be the same gender as you then oh well. You can't control who you love and Camila wasn't the kind of girl to go off on them about what they were doing is wrong, unlike her parents. Her dad always made some kind of sick joke whenever he would see gays walking by or on tv.

"I swear they are trying to shove that sickness onto us everywhere." He spoke with disgust in his tone.

Camila hated how her dad was but she also loved him cause he wasn't all that bad when you get past his homophobic side. He was really sweet and caring and would do anything to help his family out.

There was just one thing she knew that she couldn't tell them and hoped no one saw. And that was that kiss that she shared with Lauren.

To this day she didn't even know how it happened, luckily it was a Friday when it happened and now it was Monday and Camila has been doing her best to avoid the girl at all costs. How did it even happen, how did they even get that far to kissing. Why did she kind of liked it? Oh god no she couldn't be gay, she was straight and that was something that she knew...or at least she thought she knew that she was straight. But every night she kept thinking about that kiss and how she wondered what it would be like to kiss her again.

No she knew it was wrong and she needed to stop thinking about it, she knew how her parents would be if she were to tell them. Who would she tell? It's not like she had that many friends that she could go to.

Wait there was on person that she could go to.

Ally.

———

After getting ready for school she heard a knock on the door and quickly made her way downstairs and kissed her parent's cheeks telling them goodbye before making her way to the door. When she saw the short girl she couldn't help but smile as she gave her a hug before they both made their way to Ally's car. As they were both in the car and soon on their way to school.

"Ally there is something I need to talk to you about." Camila spoke with some hesitant as she looked down at her hands.

"You know you can tell me anything, what is it?" Ally spoke with some concern in her voice.

Camila knew that Ally was starting to get worried as she was never this way, unless it was something that wasn't that great. Last time she was acting this scared or timid was when she told her about what happened between her and Austin.

"It's about Lauren..." Camila spoke in a low tone.

She soon felt the car come to a halt as Ally put the car in park and turned to look at Camila.

"What about Lauren? What did she do? I told you, you shouldn't have hung out with her." Ally spoke with some worry and anger in her tone.

"She didn't do anything...okay well she kinda did and so did I..." Camila took in a deep breath. "She kissed me."

After saying those three words silence was soon filled in the car and you could feel the somewhat awkward tension between the two. Camila took a glance over at Ally as she seemed to be deep in thought. A low sigh escaped Camila's lips as she looked down at her hands.

"Please say something...anything." Camila whispered.

"Did you kiss her back?" Ally spoke in a low tone.

"I didn't pull away...not till I realized what I was doing and then I quickly got out of there and told her we shouldn't hang out." Camila mumbled as she fiddled with her fingers.

If someone were to see this you probably could cut a knife through the tension.

"Good, you really shouldn't be around her as she isn't good news. And I'm not just saying that. I just don't want anything bad happening to you Mila and I know how the girl can be and she would do anything to mess with you. Her and her friends are probably up to something...I just know it." Ally spoke with a stern voice.

"But what if she actually does want to be a better person. Didn't we learn we shouldn't judge people and give them a second chance and to not hold their past against them." Camila spoke as she looked at Ally who soon started the car again as they were soon driving again.

"Yeah but...Lauren is different and I don't know if she deserves to have a second chance." Ally whispered.

And that was the end of it as Camila didn't want to get into a fight with her friend. Her mind was still on Lauren and the kiss. She knew she couldn't tell Ally about how she kind of liked the kiss as she knew that wouldn't go well. Maybe Ally was right though and she needed to stay away from the girl. Lauren wasn't the best person to be around from her history and what she has done to people. But Camila couldn't help but feel like there was something else about Lauren that she couldn't explain, like there was a side to Lauren that Lauren didn't want people to see and it made Camila more determined to figure it out.

So for now she wasn't going to stop hanging out with Lauren, she would just have to make Ally believe that she was and see if Lauren would be okay with them hanging out secretively. And then maybe it can help the girl get to know her better and maybe figure out who Lauren really was and what she was about and why she did the things she did.

Because to Camila no girl would just suddenly try to hook up with every girl or boy they see. Someone must of hurt her in the past and Camila couldn't help but make it a goal for her to fix the girl and then maybe Ally wouldn't mind Camila hanging out with her, but how would she get Lauren to open up to her? Especially since she avoided the girl pretty much all weekend.

Camila's train of thoughts where broken when Ally told her that they were finally at school, as they made their way inside Camila couldn't help but feel a pair of eyes on her and as she looked in the direction she saw the beautiful green eyes that were haunting her dreams the last couple of nights. How can one girl make such an impact on her? Camila kept her eyes on the girl before she looked away and took in a deep breath.

Okay so maybe this whole plan was going to be a lot harder than Camila thought.
