Sometimes a thought becomes extremly recurring to the point it's like a broken record, stuck on replay for a long time, days even that the thinker can hardly have focus on something else and like every recurring thought they evolve into nightmares. This became a part of Optimus's life as one of the thoughts that tormented him the most were what could've been the final moments of Dakota's life which is something that torment everybody when we suffer the tragic and sudden death of a loved one, his mind was making himself questions that would never have a certain anwser: "Did she suffered?", "What were her last thoughts?", "Had I been close would she still be alive?". These type of questions sometimes kept him awake during the early hours of the night as he tried to anwser them despite knowing that some anwsers were hard to deal with.

Watching the last video of Dakota made go throught these questions over again while it also open the door to new questions involved to reconstructing what those final moments must've been like til he finally fell asleep, in his dream everything started seemingly normal but it soon became a nightmare and as we all know something bad always happends on nightmares: He heard her screaming for help and he ran towards the direction from where the scream came from , he was running as fast as his legs allowed him to.

When he finally found her, she was on her knees surrounded by gun men, begging to be freed "Dakota!" he screamed afraid of what would happend next.

Her beautiful blue eyes met his, she managed to smile however her look was a sad one and they started to hold tears so words were very unnecessary. Those men in black had their face blurry while the leader uttered a few words.

"Love, what a fatal mistake" The tone was somewhat sadistic. Optimus tried to run and held her away from harm but time became slow so slow that he heard the gunshots and saw everything happend.

"No!" he screamed in pain,  so loud that it was a heart-breaking echo

After the gunshot everything went dark around him, everything was gone making his lost more palpable, loosing her was like being blinded all of a sudden

After the gunshot everything went dark around him, everything was gone making his lost more palpable, loosing her was like being blinded all of a sudden. He had never cried so hard until the sound of his cries had ceased almost at the same time Dakota's heart stopped beating, somehow when her heart had stopped he felt like his spark was stabbed and whatever sharp object just digged deeper and deeper. He suddendly woke up feeling frozen by the nightmare and how tears were about to leave his eyes

"Stop torturing yourself, Optimus" he thought to himself as he sat up on his berth to get whatever sense of calm he could gather. This side of himself was unknown to everyone else so he was glad that everyone where deep-sleep to avoid catching a glance of himself having nightmares. He turned to see the hour, 4:30 am., going back to sleep would be challenge.

The next day, Miko had gone early to the hospital to visit June and ask her for advice about Optimus's mourning, the girl felt nervous almost as if she was about to ask for a million yens loan but one can understand that for her the circumstances were that serious to her, she just wanted to make it up for prying where she shouldn't have. The hospital was peaceful but that happends when some people take vacations from working on E.R and I.C.U, besides it has been two days since the last major emergency that had been an exterminator with multiple wasp stings (Guess the little bugs did not took well the idea of moving), days this peaceful were the type of days June loved to have a good cup of coffee.
