Kai and Taehyun quickly said goodbyes and went the way Yeonjun had left.
Yeonjun silently went up the porch stairs to a house that was apparently owned by someone by a random name.
Good old dad's up to his old tricks again, Yeonjun thought bitterly. Yeonjun quickly picked the lock to the door, remembering that his dad had taught him and told him he might need the skill. He probably didn't think he would actually use it to come and take his life away.
He felt like throwing up when he realized it was probably the trick he had used to sneak up on Soobin and kill him.
He opened the door, carefully and slowly. Stopping and listening, he heard footsteps from a room above.
He slowly crept up the stairs and down the hall, stopping at the door and pressing his ear against it.
it was his dad, alright. He smiled grimly.
Then, he pushed open the door and his dad spun around to face him.
"Yeonjun! I have no idea how you found me, but welcome." He started taking a few steps forward, but without so much as blinking, Yeonjun pulled out a gun, and aimed it at his dad's head.
"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you now." He said, darkly. His father just laughed.
"Oh, Yeonjun, we both know you won't."
But as he took another step, Yeonjun cocked the gun.
"Hm, maybe you will." He said, raising an eyebrow. "I raised you well. Too bad all of this drama caused this."
"You didn't have to kill Soobin, or Beomgyu." Yeonjun spat angrily.
"I'm sorry, son, but I had to teach you a lesson."
Yeonjun laughed hysterically. "A lesson?? A lesson?! Killing two innocent people is teaching me a lesson?!?!"
"Yes. It is. You still have a lot to learn when you follow-"
"I swear to fucking god, finish that sentence and I will murder you on the spot." Yeonjun said, seriously.
His dad laughed. "Oh, Yeonjun. Guilt will always follow you around."
"Really? Let's test it, shall we?"
But as he was about to pull the trigger, a new voice stopped him.
"Yeonjun! Wait!"
Yeonjun almost dropped the gun, taken by surprise. He closed his eyes. No way, no-
"Yeonjun, please put down the gun." The voice whispered, now beside him.
"Beomgyu?" Yeonjun whispered, not opening his eyes.
"Yes, Yeonjun. I'll explain later, but please, please put down the gun."
Yeonjun slowly opened his eyes, which turned glassy at the sight of Beomgyu.
"But..."
"Yeonjun, listen. Killing him isn't the answer. We'll call the police. But if you kill him, you're not any better then he is. Innocent or not, it's bad to take away a human life." Beomgyu said, glancing between Yeonjun and his father. Yeonjun slowly lowered the gun and nodded.
"Then, I need to make sure he can't get away." And with that, before anyone could protest, Yeonjun stepped forward and hit him in the back of the head with the gun, knocking him unconscious.
"Huh, remind me to never get on his bad side." Kai said from the doorway. Yeonjun offered him a grim smile.
But then he looked at Beomgyu. "I don't understand..."
Beomgyu walked forward and hugged Yeonjun. "I'm so, so sorry. After the doctor actually saved my life, I asked him to tell everyone I was dead. But only because I knew if your dad got wind of me getting better, he would try to come and kill me. I needed a couple of days."
Yeonjun hugged him tightly and inhaled Beomgyu's familiar scent. "I love you." He whispered.
"I love you too."
Yeonjun opened the door for Beomgyu and let him go by.
"Aw, hey, Mochi. I'm sorry boy, I won't leave you again. Either of you." He added, glancing at Yeonjun while stroking Mochi's head.
Yeonjun lied on the bed and patted the spot next to him. "Come, come."
Beomgyu smiled slightly and went over, crawling into bed beside him and wrapping his arms around him.
"One good thing happened, though." Beomgyu muttered. Yeonjun glanced at him, and played with his hair.
"What's that?"
"Kai and Taehyun confessed to each other. Yesterday, I think. Kai told me everything that had happened opened his eyes and he finally told Taehyun how he feels."
"Huh, good for them."
Beomgyu smiled and looked up at him. "Not too interested, huh?"
Yeonjun shrugged. "It's not that... I just want to focus on you."
Beomgyu kissed his cheek. "We're finally not going to leave each other, right?"
"Right."
(A chapter and an epilogue left... I can't believe it's slowly coming to an end.
