Once the train had arrived you three jumped in a random cart as two men came and checked the cart right after you guys got in it
You guys peeled out as soon as they left you sat in the middle of them both
Some time passed and Pony fell asleep on my shoulder and Johnny was still up, he looked at the switchblade, it had dried blood on it so i assumed thats what He killed the soc with
"Why'd you do it?" You asked Johnny
"They were drowning Pony in the fountain, and it was the same soc with the Rings" You could hear his voice get wobbly, he Let out a sob
"They all ran once he hit the ground" he leaned onto you and cried into your shoulder
You side hugged him ,shushing him and telling him it'll all be alright, things like that
He would soon fall asleep crying , you had a self debate weather you should wake them up once you had to get off or try to Carry them both
You decided with the easiest option
Waking them up
Even after a couple tries to fall asleep you couldn't, you had one Person fall asleep on your shoulder and easily fall asleep then
But two people, man you could already feel the cramping on your shoulders
Without you even noticing you spent a couple of hours just thinking or just looking at the scenery outside
By then you noticed the sun rising creating a beautiful hue within the clouds and trees
You notice the sign, Most likely with the name of the town you were now in
You felt one head bring Lifted off your head
"Are we there yet..?" You hear Johnny ask
"Yes ,help me carry out pony" you said
What? You couldn't Wake up Pony, He was sleeping and hadn't naturally woken up
You and Johnny gently pick up Pony and decide the gentlest way to jump out of the cart
"Ready?" You asked Johnny
You looked at him and he looks back at you, he nodded
You both jumped assuring that Pony wouldn't get hurt
Ended with You and Johnny getting your ankles broke(CXK reference💪🏼)
You let out a huff and looked at Pony, He was still asleep, Lucky ass
You pulled his hair
"(M/n)!" Pony yelled and Held onto the part of Hair you had pulled on
"Yes?" You answered him
"Why'd you do that?" He then rubbed on that part of his scalp
You and Johnny softly Giggled
You all got up and started walking out to town, the two boys hoping to not get recognized and also hoping that the story wasn't out yet
You three would stop walking for a bit to just look at the long prairie and the hills behind it
You three would continue walking until you were looking at some Farmer
Johnny had obtained a Stick to Support his limping from his ankles
"Well..." Johnny started out jerking his head towards the Farmer
"Well what" Ponyboy asked, sounding sassy
"Well, Go an' ask 'im, ask 'Im where we are, the Story wont be in the paper yet" Johnny answered
"Why don't you go ask him?" Pony retorts sassily
"My ankles hurt an' i don't wanna Walk on 'em" Johnny said, looking at you than at the ground
"What am i gonna say?" Ponyboy asks finally giving in
"Just Act Like a Farmboy! Takin' a walk a somethin' , he'll never know" Johnny tells Ponyboy as they both keep looking at each other and the farmer
Pony Looks at himself and asks the big question
"Do I Look Like a farmboy to You?" Pony asked
Johnny Looks at him fit a second then Looks at You, You Look Back at Johnny then you both look at Ponyboy
Pony gives an offended look
You and Johnny look at the Farmer
"Just go ask him Pony, ask him where Jay Mountain is, don't worry about it" you said looking back at pony
Ponyboy let's out a sigh
"But what if he knows who I am...?" Pony asked seemingly worried about the whole thing still
"It's Most likely the Story ain't out yet, hurry, we're kinda wasting time.." you said rubbing Ponys Back
Ponyboy Looks at You and lets a big breath in and walks over to the farmer
You and Johnny look at each other for a moment
You look back at pony as he walks with his head down and his hands in his pocket
You can still feel Johnnys eyes on you you'd usually look back at him and ask him if something's wrong
But you'll let him have him Moment this time
