The entirety of Hilltop was glaring at Negan. Waiting for him to drop the act and pounce. Which humored Negan immensely.

Negan enjoyed being notorious, he liked being feared. It gave him leverage and it let him get what he wanted. Rick was different though he didn't want to scare him they already had a relationship before so what was stopping them from resuming it.

"No! I'm staying here I don't care I'm not leaving Maggie!" Glenn was furious that they even suggested that he should go back to Alexandria.

"Glenn she needs to rest." Said Dr.
Carson.

"She can rest with me in the room, I'm staying." Glenn wasn't going to budge and Daryl caught on.

"Let 'em stay, he ain't gonna harm anythin'." Daryl just wanted silence so he could finally fall asleep.

The doctor sighed, "Fine you can stay, but not if you disrupt other patients." Rick left the crowded trailer and took in a deep breath.

"Something bothering you babe?" Negan smirked and winked and Rick.

"Don't call me that." Rick whisper yelled at the taller man.

"What? Remind you of the fun we had together?" Negan's smile was impossibly wider and stretched out his hand to grab Rick's arm.

"Stop this!" Rick said swatting away his advance.

"Oh shit Rick, your possy don't know you're bisexual? Hell you could have just fucking said that."

"That's not the only reason." Rick mumbled.

"Then what is Ricky? Do you not like me anymore?" Negan put on a fake sad face and waited for Rick.

"I'm not ready to jump back into that Negan, hell it seemed like you were going to kill my people, why would I immediately get back with you. What would have happened if we didn't know each other?"

Negan stared at Rick hesitant. "Well I would have killed one of your people. To teach you a lesson, before you get mad you have to understand that you killed almost a hundred of my men. Those men had friends and families. Killing only one of your people would have been letting you off easy."

"This is why." Rick stated bluntly.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Negan's eyebrows furrowed.

"It means that's why I don't want what we had. You changed, for the worst. Jesus told me what you did when you came to Hilltop the first time. When I was on my knees I knew I was going to die or that one of my family members would die. I didn't want to believe that 'Negan' was you I hoped I wasn't."

This was a lie Rick did want 'Negan' to be the same Negan he had loved, but there was a part of him that didn't want to believe the things he had heard the man did.

Negan stared down at the man and then the ground. "I'm sorry, my men, I have to envoke fear. That's how this works, that's how I work. If my men don't fear me they'll riot and try to kill me. Do you want me dead Rick?"

Both of them already knew the answer, though Rick was mad he couldn't lie. "No Negan, I don't want you to die, but I also don't want you to kill innocent people."

Negan smiled when he heard the man. "Good. We're on the same fucking page then."

Rick was done with his bullshit and couldn't take it any longer. He walked back in the medical trailer, leaving Negan to himself.

"Who's staying at Hilltop with Maggie?" Rick said.

Glenn was staying and Daryl was forced to due to his injuries, and Sasha wanted to be there for Maggie. Everyone one else was going to go back to Alexandria.
