Beomgyu looked around the classroom and mentally groaned as he realized the only seat left was the one next to Yeonjun. He got even more annoyed when Yeonjun smiled at him as he sat down. Once the teacher began talking, Yeonjun leaned a bit closer.
"How nice of you to sit next to me." He whispered, smiling slightly. Beomgyu tilted his head slightly.
"It was the only seat left." He whispered back. Yeonjun shrugged.
"I guess I got lucky then."
"I would appreciate it if you both wouldn't disturb my class." The teacher said, glaring at Yeonjun and Beomgyu.
"Sorry, sir." Beomgyu mumbled. The teacher turned away once more.
"So crabby, huh?" Yeonjun whispered.
"Yeonjun, be quiet!" Beomgyu whispered, but it was too late. The teacher turned back to them.
"Detention for both of you tomorrow." He snapped, and they nodded. He went back to teaching and Beomgyu refused to look at Yeonjun for the rest of the class.
Beomgyu was walking by a park on the way to his apartment when he saw Yeonjun staring absent-mindedly into space while smoking. Beomgyu sighed and made his way closer.
"What did I tell you?" Beomgyu asked, coming up behind him and taking the cigarette yet again. Yeonjun just chuckled slightly.
"What do I get if I quit?" He asked as Beomgyu sat beside him. "A kiss?"
Beomgyu tsked. "No way. You know smoking leaves chemical compounds that mix with your saliva and cause bad breath?"
Yeonjun raised an eyebrow. "Is that a fact?"
Beomgyu nodded and they sat in silence. Until Yeonjun pointed at somewhere.
"Look." He said, glancing at Beomgyu.
"Look at what? I don't see anything." Beomgyu said with a shrug. Yeonjun sighed.
"Look where I'm pointing." He said, waiting until Beomgyu leaned closer and their cheeks were almost touching.
Beomgyu squinted his eyes. "I still don't see anything."
Yeonjun turned his head slightly and smiled. Then, before Beomgyu could react, he kissed his cheek and leaned back once again.
"Hey! You didn't actually see anything, did you?" Beomgyu asked, looking at Yeonjun, who was still smiling.
"Nope."
Beomgyu sighed. "First you get me in trouble, then you kiss me. What's next?"
"Dating?" Yeonjun asked, smiling innocently when Beomgyu turned to glare at him. "Kidding, kidding....maybe."
"So annoying." Beomgyu said, shaking his head.
"Let's not forget who annoyed who first." Yeonjun said with a shrug. "If you weren't so cute and persistent, I would have tried turning you away in a much harsher manner."
Beomgyu smiled slightly. "Cute and persistent... that's how I am in your eyes?"
Yeonjun leaned closer to Beomgyu. "I could go on, but that's only depending on if you want me to."
Beomgyu shrugged, trying not to squirm at how close Yeonjun was. But he couldn't help his gaze wander to Yeonjun's lips. He bit his lower lip slightly, but it didn't go unnoticed by Yeonjun, who smirked.
Yeonjun leaned forward more, making their noses touch. "Am I making you excited?" He whispered. Beomgyu wished he could deny it, but his mind had shut down. He swallowed several times.
"Yeonjun-"
"Hmmm?" Yeonjun interrupted, leaning closer still so their lips were a hairbrush away from each other. But as Beomgyu closed his eyes and tried closing the distance, Yeonjun pulled away. Beomgyu looked away, blushing in embarrassment.
"So, what do you think mr. crab has in store for us tomorrow?"
Beomgyu was puzzled by what had just happened, but he tried acting normal about it.
"No idea." Beomgyu shrugged. "It's something new each time."
Yeonjun stood up. "That's true. I bet you want to get home so I'll let you go."
"Okay."
But Beomgyu made no move to get up as he watched Yeonjun walk away, puzzled.
