Just like he remembered. In Manila, Philippines. August 20th, 2010. On an overcast day. Like he remembered all the voices, screaming in Filipino, Tagalog and English, crying for help. The tightening fear about what was going on. The fear that he was going to die.
The tightening fear that he was going to die.
And he could have sworn he saw a silhouette of Koishi Komeiji, facing front, with a dismal body posture.
And suddenly his skin and then his body tingled with electrical surges, rising, getting stronger by the level. Then, he was able to feel. He was able to hear. His body temperature rising to a normal level.
However, all he could see was black. But then, he was aware of all of his surroundings.
He waited until the people around him would leave. He then waited for one person to come by. To watch him wake up. To hold him, kiss his hair, cradle him to his (or rather, her) chest and hug him, until he gains the strength to stand and walk. But who he is waiting for, he doesn't really know. It could be either Iceland or China. Or Philia.
Hong Kong slowly opened his eyes so that they could adjust to the sudden brightness of the room. Just as he suspected, he is laying in a hospital bed, though he doesn't really know how long he has been unconscious.
"You're awake, finally."
Hong Kong sat up and turned his head to see Iceland, sitting, his hands on his lap and with a blank look on his face, though his eyes look like they're ready to flare at any time. He's apparently wearing his khaki suit.
"How long was I unconscious?"
"Over an hour," Iceland replied in monotone. "The doctors said it's a minor heart attack and it was easily treatable."
Hong Kong sighed in relief. Thank God. If it's really severe, I would have gotten into a coma!
"Did you take your heart meds this morning?"
"Yeah, I did, around a few minutes before I left." Hong Kong knew it was the truth, because it was all he remembered aside from entering the U.N. building and arriving at the meeting room.
"If you did, why did you get a heart attack?"
"I told you heart meds won't do anything about it."
"Don't be damn pessimistic about this."
"I'm not, I'm just being realistic. Sooner or later, I'll get into an irreversible coma with a non-working heart after either a severe cardiac arrest or heart attack."
This time Iceland snapped. "I'll never fucking forgive you if that happens to you! And neither will Yao and he won't ever forgive Charice or Rizal for the tour bus incident!"
