Chapter 4 - The Glayders

"You can say that children grow up far too fast these days but enough talking I think presentations are necessary for everyone," replied the king 

"Let me introduce my family in this case" My father took my mother's arm to introduce her "This is my wife Diane Dawn" he surely presents it to the children because the king and queen seem to already know my mother

"Nice to meet you prince, princess," said my mother with a smile on her face

"It's a pleasure to meet you, my lady," said Prince Curtis while his sister was hiding behind his mother

"And this is my son Merlin," I step forward to the royal family puts my hand on my heart and makes a short bow "Delighted to meet your Highnesses, my name is Merlin Dawn and it is an honour for me to be able to enter the world of nobility in this castle"

"Delighted Merlin I am Blaine Glayder a friend of your father and king of Sapin, you are very eloquent for your age your parents educated you well"

"I thank you for your compliment Your Majesty", 'Blaine seems really different he seems to have his arrogance minus is it because my father helped him in the past or the fact that he is very powerful or is he simply different from that of the book'

"Don't be so formal with me and let me introduce you to my own family, my wife Priscilla and my two children Curtis and Kathyln, my daughter is almost the same age as you I hope you can get along well"

The queen then turns to her husband "I think we should continue this discussion inside, let's not let our guests stand outside

"It's true please follow us"

The interior of the castle is truly royal with many tapestries embroidered on the walls where the paintings of the various kings and queens of the country are suspended along the corridor in which we head, I'm just intrigued by a place in the hallway where there seems to be a missing painting and this just before the painting of Blaine and Priscilla Glayder 'would that be where Blaine's father's painting should be?'

I'd rather go to sword practice, but you can call me Curtis our parents are already friends and I don't like being called prince every time someone talks to me" Curtis seem very social and quite intelligent for his age, but Kathlyn remains silent while listening to the conversation

"You started sword training, what kind of sword do you use?" I ask, I've never been good at talking to people my age probably because it was rare for me to talk to children I talked more with politicians or businessmen"

"I'm used to using a simple sword with a shield, but you've already started training with a weapon?" he seems curious and surprised about the fact that I could have already started to train with weapons.

"Only small repetitive exercise to train my body"
