Chapter 7

Thanksgiving festival

Here's a recap. Tiana and Eudora made peace with the voodoo man and are getting ready for their town festival. They have a lot of things planned for the town as far as giving back to there community.Let's see how the day before the festival is going.

"Mama, have you started the sweet potato pies yet? And did you put the collard greens on?" said Tiana

"Yes baby the pies are in the oven and the collard greens are in the pot cooking" said Eudora

" Okay, Chief, have you started on the turkey? said Tiana

" Yes I have ma'am. It's in the fridge marnetting" said the chief

" Okay thank you" said Tiana

"I'm go check on Naveen, Dad, and the kids" said Tiana

"Okay dear" said Eudora

Tiana walks to where they are

"Hey guys what yall doing up in here"

" Hey honey" said the voodoo man

" Hey mommy I'm making a ninja turkey" said James

"Hey mom I'm making a princess turkey cause I'm a princess" said Natalia

" Hey mommy I'm making a spongebob turkey said Thedora

"They are beautiful" said Tiana

"Hey honey how is it going in the kitchen?"said Naveen

"It's going well I guess. It's just a lot going on" said Tiana

" Oh is there anything we can do" said Naveen

"Yea if you need help we got you sweetie" said the voodoo man

"I know but mom is helping and plus I have the staff and the volunteers. So I have a lot of help. I have fun with the kids. But I will be sure to tell you if I need help." said Tiana

" okay love" said Naveen

"Okay" said the voodoo man

They get all the food prepared. The turkey was the last thing to be cooked. Now it was time to prepare for the games and contest.

" Okay now that the food is taken care of let's get started on the games. Then the contest and prizes." said Eudora

" Okay what type of games are you thinking about mom" said Tiana

"Turkey leg wrap, ribble me trivia, thanksgiving bingo, & etc." said Eudora

"Those sound good. We could also have a cake walk." said Tiana

"Yep, I will add that to the list of games. Soon a truck should be here with all the prizes. I will call the bakery and see how many cakes they can make for us on short notice." said Eudora

" Okay, I'm going to set the tables up. And do we have all the announcements ready for tonight?" said Tiana

"Okay, almost all of them I just have to add the games and find some contest" said Eudora

"Okay, i'll be setting up the tables if you need me" said Tiana

"Okay dear" said Eudora

They get everything together and are starting to set each game and the stage. The kids hang up their turkey's on the door to show the town and to show they will be able to do the same. All the decorations have been put up. All there is to do is get ready. Tiana picks out the kids outfit and Naveen gets them dressed. Tiana and Naveen get ready and meet everybody in the living room.

"Okay everything is ready the food, games , and contest" said Eudora

"Now all we have to do is open the doors and let them in" said Naveen

"The kids can't wait to make to friends " said the voodoo man

"They talked about it all day" said Naveen

"I can't wait for them to meet kids their age" said Tiana

"Me to said Naveen

"It's time dear" said Eudora

"Okay, guards can you please open the doors for our guest" said Tiana

They opened the doors and everybody started coming in. Tiana greeted them and Eudora told them where to go. There were a lot of people. Once everybody was there They started the Thanksgiving feast announcements.

"Welcome everybody for coming to our first thanksgiving feast. I would like to thank my mom for helping me get all this together.and my dad and husband for supporting me. We have a few announcements before we start. We have a lot of games and contests for kids and adults. We have disguised the turkey that is one of our contests. As you walked in James, Theodora, and Natalia made a disguised turkey and it was hung on the door. We hope you enjoy the feast and we hope to have lots more in the future. Also Tiana's palace will be opening soon. I don't have a specific date but it will be soon. I hope you enjoy the fest I will announce when it's time to eat. We do have a snack table in the back. Have fun." said Tiana

Everybody gets up and goes and does the different activities Tiana and Eudora are walking around taking pictures. Naveen watches the kids play and the voodoo man is serving the punch. The photo will go on the towns page that Tiana created to the town and order and so any suggestion could be found easier. There were a lot of different disguised turkeys. Everybody won a prize. And the adults loved the bingo game. Overall everything is going good. When it's time to eat.

"Can I have everybody's attention" said Eudora

Everybody has stop what they are doing and listen to Eudora

"It's time to eat you will be called by your table number so can everybody have a seat in there seat so we can say the grace and get ready to start eating" said Eudora

They say grace and call everybody's table number and now everybody's eating.Once they were done eating they had desert. After they ate desert they showcase all the drawings and turkeys that had been created. Everybody went outside to see the thanksgiving fireworks. After the fireworks it was time for closing remarks and time to end the party.

"Okay everyone thank you for coming to our thanksgiving feast. We hope you enjoyed everything . We hope to have one next year. We are glad you could make it and come out and celebrate with us. We are glad we could give back to all of you for your kindness and hard work to our town. We hope you get home safe and have a good thanksgiving. I also wanted to thank those who sent me cards when I was in the hospital.I will cherish them forever. Have a good night." said Eudora

Everybody says their goodbyes and leaves.

"We can clean this up tomorrow I'm ready to go to sleep it's been a long day"

"Okay i will put the kids to bed and run you a hot bath" said Naveen

"Thank you baby. Love you. Good night mom and dad"

"You're welcome bae" said Naveen

"Good night dear" said Eudora

"Good night" said the voodoo man
