Chapter 2

Scott got up to shut the camera off.

"That game is my saviour." I said wiping the tears off my face from laughing.

"We need to play that game with Esther." Scott said laughing.

"YES OH MY GOD."

Scott downloaded the video on to the computer and got ready to edit.

He patted the chair next to him and I gladly sat down.

Ok Mitch, lets go.

"Um Scott, can I ask you something?" I said shifting in my seat.

"Of course, what's up Mitchie?" Scott said sounding concerned but his eyes were on the screen in front of him.

My hands started to shake.

"Do you think"-I paused out of nervousness- "A-Alex is on to me?" I said shakily.

Scott stopped editing and turned his chair around so he was facing me.

"Why would you think that?" Scott said a little offended.

Great, he hates me.

"He always complains about me. About Superfruit. He thinks I'm annoying and clingy and I have a terrible voice." I said getting quiet with every sentence. I stared down at my lap not wanting to see his face.

I saw out of the corner of my eye that his face went a little pale.

"Y-You heard that yesterday?" Scott said sounding guilty.

I nodded my head still not looking at him.

He sighed and tilted my head up so I had no choice but to look at him.

"Babe, he just doesn't know you like I do. And he's a jerk. He doesn't know how funny, talented, and beautiful you are." He said staring into my eyes.

My cheeks turned red. I bit my lip.

"Thanks." I said smiling.

"Don't worry about him, he doesn't deserve to love you." He said smoothing out my hair.

I let out a sigh of relief.

"Hey," Scott said and I looked at him. "I love you. Don't listen to him."

"I love you, too. Thanks for listening to me." I said putting my head on his shoulder.

He kissed my head and hugged me.

"I'll always listen to you." He whispered in my ear and let go of me.

He smiled and got back to editing.

I ruffled his hair and went to the kitchen to get some coffee.

Why was I nervous?

He thinks I'm beautiful.

I could not stop smiling.

And Scott noticed, too.

Because he laughed from his laptop and said, "You're adorable."
