𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙧...

The dinner was going horribly. Well not as horrible as Luna had expected, if she was being honest, she thought within minutes the house would be full of dead bodies, but thankfully she had talked her mates out of killing the little group of friends and had confiscated all of the gang's stakes. So, while the dinner wasn't horrible in the murdering sense, it was horrible in the awkward sense. And not just awkward small conversations, there was no conversation at all. Every time Luna tried to bring something up, nobody responded, not even a grunt from anyone, including her mates. Elio wasn't even there to make a stupid remark. (He decided to go upstairs to protect himself from death as he said) And if Luna was being honest, she was getting pissed off. She had gone to so much effort to make everyone's food and clean the whole house, just for them to twirl their fork around the plate and pretend to take a bite. She had done all this for the people who kidnapped her. Luna perked up as she heard someone say something, just to find out that it was Kol playing a game on his phone, but when he saw the look on Luna's face, he guiltily put it down.

"This chicken is delicious, Luna." Alaric awkwardly began "Very... peppery."
That comment tipped Luna over the edge, she slammed down her fork and stood up.

"Why can't we all just put our pasts behind us and talk like civilized humans and vampires?"

"Luna, might I remind you that they have tried to kill us. Multiple times may I add." Klaus scowled

"YOU TRIED TO KILL US FIRST." Damon growled

"YOU DESERVED IT."

Luna rubbed her hand on her temple, wondering if it was best if nobody talked after all. To be honest, Luna would rather the Scooby Doo gang be gone for good (Not Bonnie of course) than try to be civil with them. But she thought she may as well be a good role model for Elio in this life, and show him that violence isn't always the answ-

Luna's thoughts were interrupted by Damon and Klaus lunging at each other from across the table. Immediately Luna cried out in pain as she saw the food she worked hard on crash onto the floor.

"KLAUS." Luna yelled, but either the hybrid couldn't hear, or he was purposely ignoring her, for he continued fighting Damon.

Stefan and Elena didn't have any luck stopping Damon either, and this made Luna nervous. How much stuff would they destroy before Klaus killed Damon. Luna didn't want any more of her precious food to be wasted, so the girl did the only thing she could think of to stop the fighting. She started crying. The effect was instantaneous. Klaus and Damon stopped fighting, both wide eyed. Elena, Alaric, and Caroline all looked awkwardly around the room, trying to focus on anything other than Luna. The rest of the Mikaelson brothers rushed towards Luna, wanting to make sure she wasn't hurt. Bonnie was the only one who seemed to understand what the girl was doing, as she sat at the table sipping her drink with a smirk on her face.

"Luna darling, are you alright." Kol questioned, concerned for his mate.

"Elskan, what happened." Elijah asked as Finn grabbed Luna's chin and gave her a once over. Damon awkwardly cleared his throat as he stepped back from Klaus.

"Luna, Damon and I were just rough housing. You know how vampires are." Klaus chuckled nervously, giving Damon a pat on the shoulder

"Yeah, we were just messing around, silly old us, right." Damon added, trying desperately to 

make her stop crying.

But nothing was helping. After a few minutes of awkwardly trying to calm Luna down, Bonnie finally chuckled under her breath and stood up. "Thank you for the invite, Luna. You have been a wonderful host and the meal was delicious. Next time we'll have to stay for dessert."

As soon as Bonnie said those words, it was like nothing happened to Luna. She smiled brightly at the young witch and began to walk to the front door.

"It was lovely having you, Bonnie. I'll be in touch with you, so be on the lookout for an invite!"

Bonnie smiled at Luna as she walked out the door, the rest of the Scooby gang slowly following. The last to leave was Stefan, who awkwardly stood at the door for a few seconds before clearing his throat.

"Thank you for the meal, Luna. And I'm sorry about my brother." Stefan hesitated, "I'll talk to him."

"Oh no worries, Stefan, it's not your job to correct his behavior. He's what? 300 years old? He should be able to handle himself." Luna placed a hand on his shoulder "Don't let your brother and Elena drag you down, Stefan. You're a good person and you shouldn't feel guilty for that. You shouldn't give your life for one person either."

Stefan nodded and gave the girl a small smile before saying goodnight.

As soon as the door was shut, the Mikaelson brothers rushed to their mate, all pushing and shoving each other to hug her first.

"So, what was that?" Finn asked Luna as he carried her to the living room. He won against his brothers by pulling the '900 years in a coffin' card.

"What was what?" Luna innocently asked

Klaus rolled his eyes at his mate's fake innocence "You crying, Luna."

"Ohhh. That was me getting your attention." Luna smiled

"And you couldn't have done anything else?" Elijah asked her

"Well, my yelling wasn't working, so I had to use other resources. And it worked, didn't it?"

"Yes, I suppose it did."

"Well, at least we have one new ally. Well sort of."

"Who?" Kol asked, from what he saw, everybody hated each other.

"Bonnie, silly. Elena never treated her well, and I feel like her and Stefan deserve to make decisions for themselves."

"You are very kind, Elskan." Elijah said as he watched Luna yawn and snuggle into Finn.

"Goodnight, my love." was the last thing Luna heard before she drifted off to sleep.

HIIII. It's been some time. Sorry for my absence. I got into my school's pageant, so I've been working on things for that. And with Christmas coming up, I've had to work more to afford presents ! always THANK YOU GUYS FOR 100K READS. I LITERALLY WAS SO ECSTATIC WHEN I SAW. YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING AND I'M SO THANKFUL. I will try to update as often as possible, but I will have a lot of rehearsals for the pageant. So be patient with me :)
