Bongbong rushed to his friend's house, impatiently knocking on their front door a few times before it finally opened. "Pre, kamusta! Andyan ka pala." Mar greeted him with a smile and stepped aside to let him in. "Pasok ka na, oh."

"Sige, salamat pre." Bongbong thanked him, smiling as he walked inside of the familiar home.

He had news. BIG news for him.

"Maupo ka dyan." Mar ushered him to the sofa, and sat down across from him.

"Salamat..." Bongbong said, sitting down. When they both settled, Mar asked, "So, bakit ka ba nandito? Hindi naman sa pinapaalis kita, pero curious lang naman ako."

Bongbong looked at him for a moment, excitedly, then spoke,

"Magpopropose na ako kay Leni!"

Mar looked at him in surprise, then put on a confused look on his face. "Teka pre, sure ka ba dyan? Hindi pa tayo nakaka-graduate ha. Diba sabi niyong dalawa, masters degree first before pag-ibig?"

Bongbong chuckled as he remembered Leni's words on 'romance', "Oo, pero, cancelled na yung planong yan. Narealize ko kagabi, parang binibigyan ako ng sign ng mundo na pakasalan ko na siya."

"Ha? Baliw ka na ba, pre?" Mar asked, scratching the back of his head.

Bongbong shook his head, "Hindi! As in, mahal ko lang talaga siya."

"Eh, paano yan? Hindi ka prepared."

"Basta, gagawa tayo ng paraan." Bongbong replied, getting up from his seat. "Actually, may nakuha na nga akong singsing para sa kanya."

"Tsk...Oo, mayaman ka nga pala- pakita nga!" Mar demanded.

"Sige, ito oh!" Bongbong ran to his backpack and took a small silver box out of it, and went back to his friend. "Mag ingat ka, mahal yan."

"Syempre, dapat mahal pre. Hindi naman siguro tatanggapin yung singsing mo kung low quality." Mar joked. He took the box from Bongbong without asking and opened it.

"Hoy!"

"Ay, ang ganda pre. Magkano to?" He asked as he examined the huge diamond ring.

Bongbong immediately stole the box back from his hands. "M-mahal nga! Kaya wag mong paglaruan."

Mar sighed, "Sayang, ibebenta ko sana..."

"Wag ako!" Bongbong said.

Mar then seriously asked him, "Sigurado ka na sa gagawin mo?"

Bongbong nodded, "Oo."

"No regrets?"

"No regrets."

Meanwhile...

"Hindi ko na mahal si Bong."

Her voice sounded dead- emotionless when she said those words. Did she regret what she just said? Probably. Did she want to say those words? No. 

"Mare! Ano ka ba, ano naman ang pumasok sa utak mo at ganyan ang mga lumalabas sa bibig mo!" Grace complained to her friend over the phone. 

"Hindi ko lang siya mahal. Period." Leni couldn't think of any other response at that moment.

"Hay naku!" Grace said in disbelief. She couldn't believe what Leni was saying to her. "Hindi ako papayag!"
