Chapter 18

It's now been a couple of days and it has been confirmed that the Leonardo DiCaprio will in fact play Romeo.

Yesterday Leo had a quick fitting in order for us to start filming today. I sat in my trailer as Amy pounded my face with makeup and Melissa putting on my wig.

"So how do you feel about Leonardo being your Romeo" Amy said as she poked my nose

I sighed. I feel like everything was about Leo these days. Leo this, Leo that, Leo Leo Leo. My mind always races between work, Jesse and for some reason Leo

"Oh why don't you sound happy sweet?"

"I don't know, it is what is I guess"

"Are you excited for the kiss?" I threw my hand to my forehead. How could I forget that I would have to kiss him. Several times in fact.

"Oh you must be excited dear" Melissa said brushing out the wig. All I could let out was a nervous laugh. At least today we were only doing the scene where Romeo and Juliet meet for the first time and the scene where he talks to Juliet for the first. So for now there's no need to stress about the kissing.

I walked into set spotting Leo in his armour costume

"Well you look quite dapper mr dicaprio, although you look like you've just gone swimming" I announced in a posh accent

"Really? It's so fucking heavy, I can see why Paul was complaining" I playfully rolled my eyes and laughed. "I just had a scene where I had to dunk my head into the sink" he said pointing to the sink across from the tank

"Hmmm" I gave him a good look. Our eyes dancing as we were silent. His hair was so slick back it made him look....hot

"You guys are weak" I said breaking my thoughts and tugging at his costume sleeves. he gave me a small nudge. I scanned the set, taking in the rooms that stood before us and the big fish tank that divided the space.

"Dad really out done himself, this is fancy" Leo nodded in agreement

"Ok DiCaprio, Romeo has just dunked his head in the sink, I want you to now look into the mirror, you've just seen the tank in the reflection and walked over to check it out. Roberts, your first minute isn't important as we're capturing Romeo's moves first but you want to be at the fish tank as he reaches the tank ok? I really want to capture this scene as love at first sight so improvise! Alright everyone to their places" both me and Leo looked at each other and nodded in unison. I walked to my side of the tank while he went over to the mirror

"Make me proud kids aaaaand action"

I stood at the fish tank getting into character. Acting as If was mesmerised by the fishes that swam around the tank. I leant down to look at the decorative pieces but then got startled by a blue eye that met with mine. I almost forgot we were filming after that. I almost immediately jumped up and saw Leo on the other side giving me a wide grin.
His smile giving me butterflies. He always had such a handsome smile. It's was one of the first things that developed my crush on him back in the days.

At this point I was awestruck.

My mind was doing somersaults and all I could do was stand there with a questionable look. I think Leo picked up on it so he quickly raised his brows to gesture for me to do something than stand there. Oh how that made me melt for some strange reason. Why is nowadays he's making me feel so giddy. All I could manage was a smile. I feel like we were so lost in each others eyes. It felt like I was a magnet, every time I walked forward he did the same. Somehow not breaking eye contact nor even once.

The music chosen for the scene blaring across the set, only it felt like I could only focus on the blue eyes directly in front of me. Even with the thick wall and tank separating us you could feel the tension we shared intensifying.

Leo went in and leaned against the glass causing me to giggle in nervousness. Hoping that my blush couldn't be seen from across the tank.

"Madam your mother calls" Miriam comes dashing in pulling me away. I smiled at Leo once more before I was pulled off set. The music only seeming to get louder now that our spell was broken.

"Cut, that was perfect I don't think we need another take" my dad shrugged. By now the other cast crew were talking. I just stood there watching Leo as he talked to one of the cameramen from across the other side of the bathroom set. He looked up and scanned the room. His eyes meeting mine. It was as if he was searching for me

Even with great distance his eyes seemed to be vibrant. Our eye contact lingered for a few seconds, him not seeming to pay attention to the man talking to him. He gave me a small wave and a smirk then quickly diverted his focus to something else. I just felt like a little fire cracker ready to explode.

"Kenna" I heard a whisper, I quickly realised it was my dad

"You did really good, you captured Juliet's emotions wonderfully. It really did seem to be love at first sight" I smiled at him, he gave a nod and walked off before anyone questioned the interaction

I flattened out my white long dress and sighed. I don't think that was Juliet...I think that was me... my true emotions I don't think I was acting? I think it was all real. Are my past feelings for Leo starting to uncover?
