I nodded, taking in her preferences. "I've been to plenty of parties with people who think they're the shit, but never been to a gala before."

"Never?"

"I've been invited, by charities I donate to, but they've always asked for speeches and I don't do it for the publicity."

"How noble." She smirked, pulling her eyes back to the table.
"How do you feel about the interviews? I can do most of the talking but they won't let you go unscathed."

"I'm not too worried. I guess we'll have to take these all day by day, one at a time."

"Mhm." She agreed, leaning forward to point at the planner. "Tuesday night, we're going to Retrospect. You ever been?"

Have I ever been to the most popular and best rated nightclub in the UES? "Nope."

"Never?" She asked again, like I was joking.

"Not a big clubber."

"Oh, yeah." She shrugged. "It's like any other club, but I'll preform a song or two, we'll do some dancing, and then paparazzi will be waiting on the outside when we leave."

"Sounds like fun."

"I know you don't want to do this, but it actually might be. Think of the stories you can tell your grandkids, huh?"

"'Hey kids, when I was younger, I was Lowen Pierce's boyfriend!' It has a ring to it, I have to say." I nodded.

"And I'll be able to say, 'back in the day, I dated The Mr Fitzgerald.'." She grinned at me.

"Ha Ha Ha." I rolled my eyes, finding myself subconsciously turning towards her.

"I'm being serious. We're going down in history together. We're gonna be a couple that alters the world. Like Kimye."

"Kimye?"

"Kim Kardashian and Kanye West?" Her eyes had so much worry in them.

"I know who they are." I laughed at her. "I meant that as in, will we really be that big?"

"Shoot for the stars." She shrugged.

"I guess I'll just have to trust you on this." I gave in.

"Yep." She popped the 'p'. "We'll have to trust each other." She held out her hand for me to shake.

I took it in mine, sealing our deal for the last time. But now? We're both in this together.

"One more thing." She added.

"What?"

"We make out official couple debut on Tuesday. From then on, Jess says we have to have public displays of affection every time we're in the spotlight."

I already presumed this, but she's making it all the more real. "As in?"

"Hold my hand, dance with me, kiss me..."
I nodded once. One single time for agreement. "And it has to look real. You can't flinch when I hold your hand, or wipe my kisses off your cheek." She joked.
