Triggerwarnings: mentioning of blood and Gore

Akaza POV:

Boredom wasn't nearly the phrase which could describe the feeling I was experiencing the last weeks. Every night seemed to be the same. Starting my mission on finding the blue spider lily as soon as the sun got down, eventually killing some men to eat and searching for an opponent. It was as if not even one individual was strong enough to entertain me at this point. Everyone I encounter is either scared to the bones at the mere sight of me or an overconfident fighter who then dies from a single attack.

To be fair the ones who act like they might have a chance are a little entertaining for a while.

Proving my strength was something I enjoyed since I remember, not being able to do so was killing me inside and started to extremely annoy me. I felt empty without the thrill and adrenaline of a death battle where the end isn't determined from the beginning.

Even without normal emotions boredom is a very steady companion of mine.

The sun was setting, and the night began, the moment I was waiting for. I rose to my feet and stretched my arms, cracked my knuckles and my neck with a head turn. *Then lets go.*

Tonight, I decided to hunt some humans for fun. Watching them trying to escape with the little speed they can scratch together. Hearing their frightened cries of help, pain, and misery. The indescribable sensation of power when forcing their bones to crack under sheer pressure. Watching them get to their knees and beg for dear life. Smelling the fresh blood emitting from their bodies and feeling it on my fists. Seeing this incomplete breed of weakness, holding onto the last string, keeping them in the living world, even with the undeniable fact that death was the only thing waiting for them. Hunger was clouding my mind and gave me this rush of bloodthirst.

A shudder creeped up my spine, I was excited to say the least. *Finally time to let off some steam.*

I began to sprint to the first village. My pace fastened at the thought of the bloodbath I would cause this night.

This was the perfect night for a killing spree. The moon was full, looking like he wanted to witness the upcoming feast. Beneath me a thick blanked of untouched snow covered the ground, reminding me of a blank paper, ready to be painted with red, a perfect contrast. My grin grew wider with anticipation.

Then I finally saw a few houses. Silently I landed on the ground of this city. I was confidently striding through the streets, thinking about what house to enter first.

There were around 12 houses, a small village, nothing anybody would miss anyways, nothing anyone would assume a worthy opponent. The decision was made fast, starting at the far end of the houses, working the way through, and catching the few victims who might get the opportunity to flee.

Without hesitation I lunged to the first house and burst through the entrance. The wooden door stood no chance against the force my punch caused. Inside the furniture was also scattered around due to my entry.

The rooms were dark and a musty smell lingered in the air, I cringed a little bit.

*at least I can free them from their poor life on this earth.*

My steps were heavy and made dull sounds when reaching the floor. My way led me to the only room I could smell humans. *They should be awake by now...*
