Y/n POV:
The events in my parents' residence happened a week ago and now it was time for me to go on missions again. My back was still hurting, but the worst had healed.
I may be weaker than some others, but my mind was strong and if I set my thoughts onto something then I will reach it sooner or later. My only goal at the moment was to get out of this musty house and wander around the world again. Travelling was always one of the few things I really wished for as a child. Now I may be able to do so but the circumstances are a little bit off the imagination I had back then, sadly.
A sight escaped my lips, *well that's my destiny. *
Just like any other I have my place and roll to play in the society.
I left my house early in the morning to start my new mission. The air outside was icy and my breath created little clouds of mist. This was a weather I loved, late autumn mornings made me calm and happy. The coldness freshened up my mind.
Everything seemed peaceful when the sun slowly peaked over the horizon. I thought to myself that now all the murderers of the night would have found a cave or any other hideout to flee from the first sunrays. It is kind of sad that this creatures are not and never will be able to watch such a beautiful scenery but even if, they wouldn't mind it one bit.
The walk out of my hometown was over in the blink of an eye and I had to start off fast to get to my destination before night would hover over the world again. So, I started to run.

I ran the whole day and finally got to the town I was heading towards. It was late afternoon, and I was able to question some residents about the latest incidents. Most of the people turned away from me or started to shake in fear as I stated my questions, so I didn't get any useful information about the demon, terrorizing the town. Until an elderly woman stepped up to me:
"Oh dear, you have to go inside soon or the night will keep you."
"Sorry I won't be here long. But what do you mean by that?" I asked innocently.
The woman looked at me a little bit startled: "you haven't heard about the incidents? My, my, in this town the devil resides. He takes the ones who are outside at late hours, and they never show up again. All people believe that talking about him is to his resentment."
"Well, thank you for telling me that, I will be careful."
I told the nice woman and went my ways; she did the same. *so the demon is here for quite a while now if this tale scares everyone here. It might be the case that he is strong if he ate that many people in this village. *
The rest of the time till sun set I sat on the roof of the highest building around to get an overview of the streets and dead ends. Might be helpful later.
The night came and I was ready to take on any opponent who would come my way. I didn't leave the spot on top of the high building. My senses were on high alert. The town was silent the moment no sun was present. Not a single person was seen outside. This makes it easier for me to perform.
An unnatural mist started to cover the streets, to the point my eyes weren't able to see the ground. Thick clouds of this fog lingered between the houses, making it seem like there never was any ground beneath it. The tension in the air felt heavier and goosebumps covered my skin as I sensed the musty smell off a demon covering the city. *Looks like his blood art.* I thought.
My body lifted itself from the position I was sitting, and I jumped down into the fog. My landing was smooth and elegant, not causing any sound or stirring up dirt. It was cold and the air was very moist. Not a single sound was heard, and no wind was brushing through the alleys. I stood on the main road of the city one of my blades already in hand and waited for the demon to show his face.
