A loud knock rang through the house of the two barlowe women. Azariah sluggishly moved on to open the front door
When she opened the door she was meet with her ballet teacher aka her mom's best friends
"Oh, hi Scarlett. She's not home right now if you were looking for her." The girl spoke quietly as her head hurt
She was not expecting the women to be over today so she was a little thrown off. But Scarlett just nodded before smiling "Actually sweetie I wanted to talk to you. Now I have a meeting to get to so I'll make this short and sweet."
Blinking Azariah waited for Scarlett to continue and she grew anxious. What could she even be here for? She had no idea and that's what worried her
Yet it all immediately washed away once she heard those five words
"I made a mistake Azariah." Her voice was soft but she spoke in normal volume. She glanced at the floor before clearing her throat and continuing "As an adult and business owner it is my job to be responsible, yet my team and I were unorganized which lead to there being a mix up."
"You got the lead role Azariah." Smiling the woman watched the girl in front of her held a blank face as she tried to process what was just said
Next thing she knew is that she was being pulled into a tight warm hug by Azariah
Immediately squealing the teen could not contain the smile that took over her face and she began talking really fast once again
Yet this time her words were not jumbled and she could actually be heard "Oh my goshthank you so much, please tell me this is not a prank!"
"This is not a prank Azariah." Scarlett said slightly laughing and removing her self from the hug "But I need you to promise me something."
The womans eyes softened a little and she spoke in a firm way "Please promise me you will take care of yourself and hurt yourself for this."
She didn't want to give away the fact that she knew about the teen's illness, but she needed to put it out there
And Azariah catch on, she was to excited about her being the lead to realize her mom probably told her "Yes I can promise you that and I will not let you down!!"
The teen was so excited and she tried to contain her smile yet failed. Realizing that Scarlett had a meeting Azariah nodded and thanked the woman in front of her
Now it may seem like she robbed the other girl of being the lead, but there was something that was unknown to the teen. Scarlett and Tessa Smith ( the girl who's the lead ) knew about Azariahs current condition
And even though the young barlowe told her not to tell anyone, Deja had to disobey her daughter wishes
Scarlett is her best friend and she was going to find out someone. Plus she could use some emotional and general support
Especially since Zion wasn't going to help out
But now that Azariah got the lead role, everything was going the way she hoped
"You are very welcome Azariah. I sincerely apologize for the mistake, and I will see you tomorrow."
