Taking a deep breathe Azariah closed her eyes and tried to collect herself as her name was called
Surprisingly many girls had signed up to tryout for the lead role, which I guess is understandable
But still, Azariah was super nervous. Even though she was technically the best there
What made her nervous was that this was her last summer and last ballet show ever, so it was really important to her that she got the lead role
Especially because she's never been the main lead before. Plus the role was absolutely made for here
The reason why shes so excited is because the show about a girl who is portrayed as a lost butterfly and tries to go with all different insects until she finds her butterfly family again
Cringey yes, but Azariah loved it and thought it was practically created just for her
But as she was met with her main dance teacher and other instructors nerves came crawling up her body
Ms Hansley smiled at her and told her the combo and skills she had to show them
It was going well but about halfway through the combo Azariah's vision went blurry
Of course she didn't stop, instead she continued doing her dance and didn't show any panic
But she was a little frantic inside
When she finished the ballet combo she stood is position 1 with a smile on her face, even though she legit could not see a thing
After everyone had been called and danced the combo, it was time for her teacher to reveal the cast list and lead roles
Her teacher/director decided to just read the cast list out loud. So they had everyone gathered up sitting down
Taking a deep breathe Azariah calmly walked to go sit down, as she got her clear eyesight back
Ms Hansley was about halfway down the list now and Azariahs name hadn't been called. Which gave the girl hope
See around here the leads and big parts were called last, at the bottom of the list
Now down to the last two parts. There was the lead and then the other role. Which wasn't technically a huge part, but they're weren't many as it revolved around different big groups
Taking a deep breathe and sitting on her hands to calm her nerves Azariah heard her teacher getting ready to reveal the huge part
