"Here your drink have an amazing day" I told the girl as she walked out and waved goodbye to me
"Why are you so damn happy?" Tagoe asked as he refill the Carmel bottle
"What guy can't smile?" I joked as I led against the counter
"This is Starbucks on a college campus; not a single person here is happy" Tagoe told me eyeing me suspiciously
"I have to leave early today to meet Penny at her house before Lidia have to head to us" As he put his smock away and walked out the door
Me and Tagoe kept working, not talking much, I haven’t been checking the clock or anything but it seemed like each second lasted a minute and each minute felt like an hour and people kept walking in like it was clockwork and each were more annoying than the next.
“Okay I’m about to bounce” I told him and took off my smock and headed to the door
“We still have 45 minutes, are you abandoning me?” He pouted wide eyed puppy
“I have plans with Mateo and don’t want him waiting at the door” I told him
“So you are abandoning me?” He pointed again but I could see in his face he was joking
“I’ll do something with you later” I promised and headed out the door grabbed my bike and started riding to the house
When got there I saw Mateo at the door looking at his face while bouncing on his tippy toes, I was about to call his name but stopped myself and decided to be evil; I locked my bike up and walked behind him far enough where he couldn’t see me and slowly walked up to him and grabbed his shoulders which made him scream loudly and turn to see him and took a breath of relief.
I started laughing as he crossed his arms and puffed his cheeks
“It’s not funny I was about to mace you” He told me as I composed myself
“I’m sorry baby” I teased him and opened the door and let him in the house and locked the door behind me
“Want to go to my room?” I asked him and gently massaged his shoulders as a way to relax him but hearing the small gasp that came out of his mouth told me he probably wasn’t into it so I stopped
“Yep” He nodded
“Let’s go” smiled and took my hand as we walked to my room
