(Y/N) POV

It's been 100 Years to this day since my great grandfather died

Edward John Smith, a captain for many years until that fateful day in 1912

If you haven't guessed it yet, my great grandfather was indeed the captain of the Ill-fated Titanic which stuck an iceberg and sunk

Though my friends never believed me that I was the great granddaughter of Titanic's captain. So I've tried to keep quiet about it

Yet lately my friends were getting more hostile to me ever since I lost my parents in a car crash three weeks ago

It was sad because my birthday was on March 31st oddly the same day Titanic was finished being built

I never took much interest on that bit of history, but it hurt me when I couldn't celebrate my birthday with my parents after they shortly died

It was after that my friends didn't seem to act like my friends anymore and were now bullying me whenever they got the chance

Only my history teacher Mr. Histoire was sympathetic to me. In fact he was fascinated by the fact I was Captain Smith's great granddaughter that his history lessons sometimes involved old ships

In fact yesterday as a treat for Titanic's 100th anniversary, he gave a lesson on Titanic and Titanic's sister ships Britannic and Olympic for my treatment but also continued on ships of WWII to keep the other students interest

Ships like the HMS Belfast, HMS Hood, USS Yorktown, and the hero of WWII, the USS Enterprise or the grey ghost as he called it, along with other warships of WWII

But RMS Titanic was one I cared about more due to my family's ties with it. Yet it felt sad that it never got to see Britannic and only saw Olympic just once

But my friends kept annoying me throughout that lesson. But Mr. Histoire did notice this and punished them with detention much to my relief as he then smiled and winked to me

After school through, I was waiting for my boyfriend to escort me home but he never came

I waited for about an hour and he still didn't come

But I found out why when I saw him walking out with his arm wrapped around who I thought was my best friend Olivia and accompanied by the other friends who had detention

They laughed at me and I asked why he was with her

But Olivia only responded saying

Olivia: He's too good for you, he deserved someone much better

They all then walk away with all my friends laughing at me as I started to cry

I then ran and ran through a forest while taking a few scrapes and bruises. By the time I emerged at the edge of a beach shoreline my clothes were all ripped up showing the cuts and bruises I took

But it didn't matter to me as I looked to the Atlantic Ocean where my Great Grandfather lied somewhere below the sea as I cried my heart out as my long golden blonde hair blew in the wind

I sat there for about an hour until I noticed a glimmering object buried in the sand

My mind left me curious as I then dug around it to dig it up

I then saw that the object was a glowing blue cube. One I never saw before

But I kept hearing a voice calling out to me

An old elder man's voice

It kept echoing something I couldn't understand

But then it called to me to touch the cube

I hesitated at first but as it kept beckoning me to. In the end, I eventually touched the cube

But that was a mistake as the moment I did, my hand started to feel like it was on fire as the cube glowed brighter

I tried to let go but my hand was stuck to the cube and wouldn't let go

Then the pain of the burning started to spread up my arm and then to my whole body as I screamed out

Then the cube started to dissipate into pixels and flow into my hand as the glow of the cube then went into my hand and up my arm as it spread throughout my entire body as I felt like I was being burned alive from the inside of my body

Then the cube fully disappeared and my arm broke free as the glow continued to consume me

But thankfully the burning calmed down as I gasped for air

Then I heard the voice echo again

Voice: May your heart be your guiding ocean

Just then an extremely strong gust of wind blew out of the forest and then blew me right off my feet and threw me over the ocean until I crashed right into the water and started to drown

Not wanting to die, I tried to franticly swim for the surface. But something kept dragging me down like a arm reaching out of the void of the ocean depth

Eventually I couldn't breathe any longer as all the air in my lungs ran out and I couldn't move anymore

I just kept seeing the surface getting farther and farther away until I eventually blacked out as the light of the surface dimmed away

And this was the day, the old me died

(Timeskip)

I kept hearing the ocean around me and the echoing screams of people dying as images of my life and images of what seemed like another, flashed through my unconscious mind

That was until I heard a voice calling out to me

But it wasn't the elder voice I heard from the cube, but a adult woman's voice

???: Hey, are you alright? Please wake up...

I then somehow felt like I wasn't dying anymore as I managed to open my eyes

But when I opened them I was greeted by warm sunlight and three silhouettes that I assumed were the source of the voice

(Y/N): Am I... dead?

(A/N): And the sail has been set as the story is underway!

(A/N): I hope you will enjoy this story as much as the others. Though sorry if this chapter was short

(A/N): But who knows where (Y/N)'s journey will take her now

(A/N): So until we see her again, Take care, and let your heart be your guiding ocean
