Freja couldn't believe her eyes. She's never been in a castle before and this was exceeding her expectations. She made her way through the hall and into the coronation hall. She wished her brother was there with her but he didn't care about the royals as much as she did. They just spark an interest.

The room got quiet as the King and his sister entered the room. Both stood at the alter. Anna glanced around the room and spotted Hans, the Prince she met earlier. She waved at him before she noticed Freja, who she waved at as well.

Freja smiled and waved back at her. She hoped her and Anna could possibly become friends. Well, if it was even possible. She watched as the crown was placed on the kings head. And yes, he was pretty cute. Just like she thought.

The bishop presented the scepter and led to the king, which were placed on a small green pillow. He slowly reached for them but the bishop stopped him. "Your majesty, the gloves." He reminded him.

Freja noticed the kings hesitation as he slipped off his gloves. He seemed nervous about something. Maybe it was the coronation?

The king gently took the scepter and orb, then turned towards his people. "Sehm hon HELL-drr IN-um HELL-gum AYG-num ok krund ee THES-um HELL-gah STATHTH, ehk teh frahm FUR-ear U-thear...." The bishop began to chant in Old Norse. As the crowd listened to the bishop, Elias glanced down at his hands. He noticed the orb and scepter were starting to freeze with his touch.

"......King Elias of Arendelle." the bishop announced. Elias quickly placed the scepter and orb back on the pillow before anyone noticed the ice. He picked up his gloves and slipped them back over his hands. The crowd erupted into cheer as the king turned to face them once again, a tight smile on his face. He shifted his gaze through the crowd, seeing so many faces. His eyes stopped on a girl with long blonde hair. Their eyes locked for a quick second before the music softly played and guests started moving about.

Elias made his way through the crowd and to the other side of the hall, Anna following after him. He noticed her behind him as he turned to face her. "Hi..." he greeted her for the first time in years.

Anna nervously smiled. "Hi me...?" She asked in disbelief. Elias nodded his head with a soft smile. "Oh. Um. Hi." She still couldn't fully believe that her brother talked to her after all these years.

"You look beautiful." He complimented her.

"Thank you. You look beautifuller. I mean, not fuller. You don't look fuller, but more beautiful." Anna chuckled nervously, mentally slapping herself.

Elias chuckled at her. "Thank you."

The pair watched as the crowd danced, laughed, and ate. It was an unusual sight for the both of them, but they'll need to grow use to the castle being crowded once again. "Oh." Anna smiled as she spotted Freja. "Freja, come meet my brother!" She shouted, gaining the blonde girls attention.

Freja hesitated before she walked over to the pair, a kind smile on her face. "Hello Anna." She said before shifting her gaze to the king. "And your majesty." She curtsied, her braided hair falling over her shoulder.

Elias smiled at the young girl. "Hello. There's no need." He said, referring to the curtsying. "Any friend of my sisters is a friend of mine." He held out his gloved hand towards her. Freja smiled, gently placing her hand in his for a small handshake.

"I met Freja out in the kingdom..." Anna began to say but Elias wasn't listening. He couldn't help but stare at the beautiful girl before him. Of course, he didn't get out much since he locked himself in his room. But he was curious about the young girl.

Anna noticed her brother paid no attention to her, causing her to clear her throat. Kai, one of the castle workers, walks up to the trio. "Your majesty, the Duke of Weaseltown."

"Weselton. The Duke of Weselton." He corrected, glaring at Kai. Then he turned to Elias. "Your majesty, as your closest partner in trade, it seems only fitting that I offer your lady," he motioned to Freja, ignoring that Anna was standing next to them. It would've seemed fit for him to dance with the princess but the duke saw Elias had more interest in the young maiden. "The first dance of the night."

Both Freja and Elias seemed to be startled by the comment your lady. The duke suddenly jumped and did a few weird dances, a high-kick, and a deep bow. "One, two, three. Jump." He whispered to himself, holding his hand out to Freja.

Anna, Freja, and Elias all glanced between each other, trying not to laugh. Elias, then, cleared his throat. "I apologize but my lady already has requested her first dance with me." He said, saving Freja from dancing with a tiny weirdo.

The duke looked offended. "But-" a mischievous glint sparked in Elias eye. Freja noticed this and couldn't help but chuckle. "My sister would love to dance."

Dumbfounded, Anna glanced at her brother. "What?" She didn't want to dance with him either.

The Duke wasted no time and grabbed her hand. "Lucky you..." he mumbled as he yanked her away, ignoring her protests. "If you swoon, let me know and I'll catch you." The Duke stated confidently.

Anna glanced over at both Elias and Freja, desperately asking for help. "Sorry." Elias mouthed as he watched his sister being dragged in the middle of the hall. Freja giggled at the scene, glad it wasn't her.

Elias glanced over at her. "I apologize for the lady thing, and for the dance." He said softly, scratching the back of his neck.

Freja chuckled as she watched Anna awkwardly dance with the Duke. "It's not a big deal. A simple mistake many people make." She said, crossing her arms against her chest. She glanced over at Elias, chewing her lower lip. She wanted to ask him why he wore gloves. Why he was always so isolated. But she didn't want to pry, they just met.

"Thank goodness." Anna groaned as she headed back to her brother and Freja. She leaned against Freja, rubbing her heels.

"Are you okay?" Elias asked softly.

"I've never been better." Anna hopefully glanced towards her brother. "This is so nice. I wish it could be like this all the time."

Elias glanced at both girls with a small smile. "Me too..." but then he caught himself. He stiffened up. "But it can't."

Frejas face fell, which didn't go unnoticed by Elias. Anna frowned as well. "Why not? If-"

Elias cut his sister off. "It just can't."

"Excuse me for a minute." Anna said, trying not to seem upset at her brothers worse. She hugged herself as she walked away and disappeared into the crowd.

Freja noticed the glint in his eyes. She could tell he wanted it to be like this all the time. "I know it's not my place but-" she sighed lowly. "You should give it a chance Elias."

"I'm-" he hesitated. "I'm protecting her. And the kingdom. It's best if the castle doors stay closed." He said as he glanced over at her. He stared for a moment, her blue eyes sparkling in the light.

"Protecting her from what?" Freja couldn't help but ask. There was nothing really dangerous in Arendelle.

"Me." Elias said as he shifted his gaze away from her. "I'm protecting her from me."
