"My name's Heuning Kai! I'd rather you call me HyuKa tho-" The energetic boy rambled. Soobin constantly looked around, if anxiousness was a person Soobin would be him. Kai noticing this stops rambling about everything and notices how he looks around. "You're wondering how you're still alive aren't you?" Heuning Kai asked, Soobin hesitantly but slowly nodded still unsure of whether he could talk underwater.
"I would explain it to you, but I am not sure. All I know is if you are chosen to be a part of the ocean then you are a part of the ocean." He explained. Soobin nodded this time understanding what the black-haired boy explained.
"So, what you-you're telling me is that I'm a part of the sea, also where the fuck are my legs?" Soobin screamed the last part in panic. "Woah, chill, you no longer have legs. Which probably means you've been in the ocean for more than 4 hours. Also, your 'legs' no longer exist." Heuning air quoted.
"Huh, okay? Are there more of you? Or is it just you, because you said 'You're new. I'm assuming there's more." Soobin announced after a while of silence. Heuning Kai was astonished, "Well there are more of us... But I don't think they'll be too happy to meet you. But there are other kingdoms more welcome to enjoy your presence." Heuning kai was dejected.
Soobin noticed that the latter seemed a bit upset, so he decided that this cutie would be accompanying him to the nearest kingdom that would explain to him exactly what happened to him.
"Really! Aww, thank you- er. What's your name, you still haven't told me!" Heuning blurted then gasped covering his mouth. "Did you just read my mind?" Soobin exclaimed, wondering how the said male had done that. "I did, please don't tell anyone! I'm begging you!" Heuning did a half bow due to his tail. Soobin not used to the whole thing was apologizing frantically for pointing it out instead of ignoring it.
Soobin soon was zoning out and soon stated "My name is Soobin, Choi Soobin." "Soobin? Your name is as cute as you!" Soobin took that as offensive, "Watch who you're calling cute you punk!" Soobin was flaming up. Heuning Kai stared for a few seconds before bursting into laughter at the latter. "Sorry, sorry, it's just too funny!" Kai was now lightly giggling.
A voice could be heard in the distance and Heuning Kai rushed to hide Soobin behind a large maroon piece of coral so that they couldn't see that they had a new arrival and see the difference between their tails. Spirit mermaids were not friendly, it didn't matter whether you were new or not. If you're in their land, you'll never get off.
"Well if it isn't Heuning Kamal Kai, aren't you a bit too, you know, pretty to be a boy? You disgusting faggot" The woman said in a mocking tone, Heuning started to tear up. "What are you gonna do, go swimming with your sisters? Pathetic, look at that0, he's crying. I think we've done too much. Or are you just too weak?" She burst out into laughter as other mermaids appeared. Soobin however was fuming with rage. He wanted to kill them, but alas he did not know about the mermaids so he can't do anything.
It took a while for the mermaids to clear away, leaving Heuning Kai's face with a shimmery purple residue which was his tears all dried up. "Why would you let them do that to you!" Soobin whisper-yelled. "It's not my fault! I can't do anything about it. If I didn't hide you we'd both be dead!" He spoke quietly as if he was a shy toddler asking for directions. "Why is that? Aren't you the same species?" Soobin was confused, "They aren't like other mermen, they kill and hunt other types for sport, I don't do that, that's why they bully me. They think I'm weak." Heuning Kai pouted which brought a smile to Soobins face. Heuning took note of the dimple that appeared before him before looking away.
"Soobin, how old are you?" Heuning asked randomly. "Oh me? Um, 24? Why?" Asked Soobin "Oh shit! Um sorry! I guess you're my Hyung now. I'm 22." Soobin was bewildered, this person, no mermaid was younger than him. Soobin was zoning out by now and Kai was getting worried. "Soobin Hyung? Are you okay? Soobin-Hyung!" Heuning Kai was now yelling at the latter
"Huh, oh, sorry my mind was processing how you're younger than me. When were you thrown into the ocean?" Heuning Kai stares at him blankly, "See the thing was I wasn't thrown in, I was born here." The next thing Soobin knew was he was drifting sideways, where he was going he had no idea. Heuning Kai grabbed his arm and dragged him away from the current that was pushing him away.
Heuning Kai was now dragging Soobin away as he didn't know how to swim with his tail yet. Heuning was panting and groaning in pain as his arms hurt from pushing against the direction of the wind pushing the water. Ultimately Soobin was okay with it, he just stared at Heunings tail for a while, wondering what color his tail was. Kai was confused watching the man stare at his tail. "Soobin how many times have you zoned out during the second chapter" "Shut the fuck up Heuning! You can't break the fourth wall!" Screamed the author.
"What. The. Absolute. Fuck. Just. Happened." Soobin floated there in shock. Heuning suddenly thought of something. "Soobin-Hyung?," Soobin responded with a hum, "Do you need a shirt? Because you're," Heuning Kai was interrupted "Whatthefuckplease!" Soobin exclaimed covering his bare chest. You could only get a glimpse of his abs and muscular back. Heuning swam away slightly snickering and saying something along the lines of 'loser'.
Heuning returned as soon as he'd left. This time with a shirt. Soobin quickly wore it and just like that Soobin was no longer shirtless.
"First before we go to the neighboring kingdom we need to eat, no we don't need sleep but your scales need rest so we sleep anyway," Heuning said shutting Soobin up immediately. After a few minutes of Soobin learning how to swim, he had got the hang of it and looped in circles backward.
"This is actually fun! Why didn't I jump into the Ocean earlier." HeuningKai looked disgusted and was about to slap the shit out of this man. "If you're done we've got to get some food before we leave, sometimes I can't believe I'm younger," Heuning mumbled the last part. "Hey! I heard that!" Soobin pouted. "Let's just go." And off they were, Soobin and Heuning Kai were going to the neighboring Kingdom of Pareidolia.
