Imlie? Imlie dinner is ready,' she heard her cousin calling. She heard a knock on the door and her cousin, Jyoti, walks into her room.
'Imlie we have been calling you for goodness knows how long. Papa and momma are waiting so we can have dinner.'
'I'm not hungry Jojo,' says Imlie. She turns back to the view outside her French window where the snow covered the mountain like a blanket.
'Please tell Uncle and Aunty to eat and I will get something later.'
Jyoti looked sadly at her cousin and said 'How long will you go on like this Imlie? It's been almost a year since Uncle Satish sent you here to live with us and you haven't changed.
He thought a change of scenery would help you get over him but looking at you, it doesn't look like its helped at all. You hardly step out of the house, you don't make any effort to make new friends and you look worn out like all energy has been drained from you.'
Imlie took a deep breath as she tried to control the tears from falling and breaking down infront of Jyoti. No one knew just how much she was missing her first love, her world, her jaan, her Rohan.
