"Wait we? Who are you going with?"

"You, silly!"

Dipper dropped the cereal box, cornflakes spilling across the floor.

"What!? No way! I did not agree to going into a building full of loud smelly people."

Dipper hated malls so much. The noise, the smells, having to interact with people, and ect.

"There's no choice Dipstick! Ford already agreed!"

"Wha- YOU ALREADY TOLD FORD IM COMING?"

Dipper clenched his jaw and fists, feeling his teeth poke into his tounge painfully, the metal taste of blood filling his mouth.

"Ow!"

Oh come on..

He raised his hand up to his lips, feeling the warm liquid ooze onto his fingertips. He brought back his hand, looking at the velvet blood that was smeared across his fingers. Dipper grimaced.

"Jeez..."

"Woah, you really bit your tounge hard! I didn't even know it was possible for a tounge to bleed that much." Mabel said, oblivious as ever.

Dipper felt relief flood him, relaxing his muscles. Mabel didn't suspect anything..

Dipper swallowed the blood, wincing. Ford then came upstairs, smiling.

"Dipper my boy! Your coming to the mall with us, yes?" Ford smiled at him.

Dipper winced. "I guess I have to now."

"Good, good!" Ford said, not quite understanding. "Let's get you some breakfast, and then we'll be off!"

Dipper ate breakfast, trying to ignore Bill annoyingly chattering in the background on his brain. He finished, and was forced out the door and to the mall.

Dipper listened to Mabel happily rant about boy bands to Ford, internally groaning. There was too many conversations going on, and his brain felt like it was working extra hard.

They picked up candy and Grenda, Dipper feeling annoyed that the two girls had to sit in the backseat with him. He traced his fangs with his teeth, hating the way they felt in his mouth.

I hate these fangs. Can't you get rid of them too?

"Come on Pinetree! It's not that bad when you realize you can tear open flesh with them!"

Ew Bill! Dipper thought with disgust.

"And yes, I can. Just deal with it, Kid!"

You're worse than Stan. Dipper thought with annoyance, sighing.

"Dipper!"

Dipper jumped, looking away from the window at Mabel's voice. He winced as she peered into his soul with intense eyes.

"Huh?" Dipper said tiredly.

"Ford asked you a question. If you like malls." Mabel narrowed her eyes. "You seem sad. Why are you sad?"

"I'm not sad!" Dipper quickly said. "And no, I don't like malls. Their loud and annoying and weird."

Candy, Grenda, and Mabel all gasped. "DIPPER. How dare you!" Mabel exclaimed.

Ford hummed. "Is it a sensory issue?" He asked.

"A what?"

"You know. Is it too much sensory input? For example, too many people talking, too many smells, just overall too much?" Ford asked smartly.

Dipper thought for a moment. "Yes.. I guess it kindof is. How did you know?"

Ford laughed. "I'll tell you later. We're here!"

As they entered the Mall, Dipper couldn't help but absolutely hate it immideatly. Ford was right- it was way too much sensory input.

He couldn't help but scratch at his skin nervously as he walked through the mall, Mabel and her friends wanting to buy everything in sight. To make matters worse, Bill was chattering his ear off about how " "Sixer" was stupid.

Dipper groaned as they entered a shop, one with annoyingly blaring loud music.

Stress took ahold of him as he tried to listen to what Ford was saying.

"It's insane how much society had evolved when I was in the portal!"  Ford kept talking, but Dipper couldn't bring himself to listen.

He felt two leathery wings on his back, straining against his clothes.

No no no no! Dipper thought, panic setting in as his wings desperately tried to free themselves. It was as if he couldn't control them as he tried to make them fold into his back, the wings instead pressing harder against his clothes.

"Dipper? Are you listening to me?"

Please don't let this happen. Please. BILL! HELP!

"Yeah, is we Pinetree. Just let me into your mind and I'll get rid of it!"

Dipper knew he didn't have any other choice.

Fine!

"Dipper!"

He was ejected from his body as he flew out of his flesh, entering the mindscape.

"Sorry Si- great uncle Ford!  I was just thinking. I'm fine!" Bill's voice rung out, and Dipper felt himself wince.

"Please don't do anything stupid in my body.." Dipper begged, his stomach twisting with anxiety.

Why was this his life?
