☆𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙏𝙧𝙞𝙤☆ || 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙘 𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙨 ||

♡Chapter 10- Band Rehearsals♡

Saturday had arrived, which meant the music club were hosting band rehearsals at Zander and Hailey's house, just like they had planned this whole week. By now, all six of the members had turned up, and were now about to start practicing a couple of songs in Hailey and Zander's music room, which they always used for practice. They were just getting their instruments, as well as themselves, ready.

"Alright, I'm estimating that in about five minutes, we can start!" Hailey said to her fellow bandmates, tuning her electric guitar to get the correct pitch.

"That's great Hails!" Luke replied with a smile. Jake re-adjusted his microphone on the stand, trying to get it in the right place.

Jake tapped the microphone two times to test it, hearing the low echos it produced. He then neared the mic with his mouth, giving it a little "Hello..?" , making his voice bounce off the walls loudly. Some of his friends got startled at the sudden noise.

"Oh my Christ, Jake! You gave me a heart attack!" Zander exclaimed, his hand placed onto his chest as he felt his heartbeat.

The club all laughed at this as Jake chuckled nervously. "Oh! Sorry..Didn't mean to scare you..I was only testing it.."

Hailey set her electric guitar down and piped in. "Looks like the microphone is a bit too loud. We don't want Jake's voice to overpower the background music and instruments, as we all need to be in perfect synchronization and harmony. And trust me, Jake. Your voice is powerful enough on its own. Let me reduce the volume."

Jake grinned with a small tint of blush as he watched Hailey prep up his transducer, alternating his mic. After some seconds, Hailey fixed it to its recommended settings. "That should do it!" She then walked back over to her instrument, holding it firmly in her grasp.

"Alright, everyone! Should we make a start?" Sean asked the crew, seeing them all nod their heads.

"YES YES YES! Start!" Bethany shouted out happily, sitting on Sean's small desk where his laptop was. Hailey giggled at her sister's enthusiasm, finding it adorable.

"Just remember to not make any noise, or cause any distractions that could disrupt the performance, Beth.." Hailey reminded the girl.

"I won't, big sis! I promise!" Bethany squealed.

After receiving the clearance and some thumbs up gestures from her friends, Hailey proudly proclaimed out "And a 1, and a 2, and a 1, 2, 3!"

Hearing the command from his club president, Sean hit play onto their backing track, harmonic and sweet melodies sounding out from his musical machine. Bethany squirmed excitedly in her seat, her head slightly bopping along to the beat. It wasn't long before she heard the music club play their instruments in a beautiful rhythm. Jake soon afterwards joined in, singing in a pitch perfect key.

During their performance, Hailey couldn't help but stare at him. He was just stunning. His voice was absolutely breathtaking, just like he was. She could feel a line of blush spread across her cheeks, gazing admiringly at him.

"God, he's amazing..I love him so much.." Hailey couldn't help but say in her thoughts, reminding herself about how much she was in love with Jake. She really wished he knew how she felt. At this point, Hailey was starting to wonder if Jake would ever become aware of her true feelings.

As Hailey was staring at Jake continuously in awe, she hadn't noticed that she was losing control of her right hand, which was the one strumming her guitar. She was losing concentration due to all her focus being on Jake. The band had started to take notice of this, as someone was playing the wrong notes, making their song sound funny. As Jake was singing, it became apparent to him that there was something in the musical which sounded out of place.
