Everyone stands in the middle of a grass field surrounded by trees as the sun shines down brightly
Kai: "Okay, remember what I've told you all, and do not engage the rift boss by yourself unless it is attacking you, this is an A rank rift, proceed with caution" he points "move out"
Everyone: "Sir!" they start walking in separate directions
Akemi's Thoughts: "Right" he looks around "are rifts always forests or am I just getting lucky?"
Kai: "Alright then" he digs in his bag and takes out a black orb with a big glass lens on it
Akemi looks at the orb "what is that thing?"
Kai: "It's a camera made of materials from other rifts"
Ayumi: "Why do you have something like that?"
Kai: "It's for recording the inside of the rift for the Union"
Aoi: "I see"
Kai presses a button on the back of the camera, and it beeps then floats into the air next to the left of Kai's face
The camera looks around
Kai: "We should get moving" he starts walking while the party follows him
Later
The party is walking through the forest
Kai: "So if you guys don't mind saying, what ranks and classes are you?"
Ayumi: "I'm glad you asked, I am a B ranked fighter" he smirks
Aoi: "I'm a B ranked swordsman" he puffs his chest out
Kumiko: "I-I-I'm a B-B ranked healer!"
Akemi sighs
Akemi's Thoughts: "here we go again"
Kai looks back at Akemi
Akemi: "I'm a D rank, I don't have a class as of right now"
Ayumi: "D rank?"
Aoi: "Why the hell is a D rank hunter in an A rank rift!?"
Akemi: "I have my reasons, though I won't be of help in a fight, I can carry the drops for you without a problem"
Ayumi: "Whatever reason it may be, you can still die quickly here"
Aoi: "Right? You're too weak to enter a rift like that"
Ayumi: "You're only dragging down your party by being here"
Akemi looks to the right at Ayumi and Aoi "what I do isn't up to either of you"
Aoi grits his teeth "What was that?"
Kai: "enough you guys, rather it is a D rank or an S rank, they can still be useful even if the only thing they can do is transport materials"
Ayumi & Aoi: "But-"
Kai turns his head to the right and looks at Ayumi and Aoi with a serious look "I said enough"
Ayumi and Aoi flinches
Akemi looks to the left at Kumiko
Kumiko looks at the ground with a sad face
Akemi: "Hm?"
Moments later steps can be heard from the right of them
Akemi looks to the right
Kai: "Something's coming" he walks on front of Akemi and Kumiko "you two back away, Aoi and Ayumi get ready"
Aoi draws his katana from the left side of his hip
