"Well, I had a good time today, Atie Ooper" Aiden said as the duo halted in front of his house. Aiden said, referring to her nickname from the time when the 'K' and 'C' keys on her laptop weren't working.
"Me too, Aiden"
"Good night"
"Night"
Katie walked backwards, while her eyes kept looking at Aiden. She felt this weird knot in her stomach and her heart hammered loudly, trying to convey something to her mind, but in vain. But, this feeling was familiar.
It was the same thing she felt when she had left for NYU, after breaking up with Aiden.
Finally, she waved, one last time at Aiden and turned completely, making her way home.
Katie was a bit surprised as she saw darkness in her house.
"Mom? Jack? Where are you guys?"
