"Hey, Pops! Can I ask you something?" I started off. I was standing in Professor Aizawa's office. He sighed and rubbed his forehead like he was stressed about something.
"Sure kid. What's on your mind?"
"I was wondering if I could go home this weekend?" I said damn my shaky voice. I'm slightly nervous. Shindo and I have a very eventful weekend planned but to do one of the things we want to do I'd need a private room. Aizawa gave me one of his confused looks.
"You want to stay with me this weekend?"
"What no! No, I wanna go back to my old place." Now he really looked confused.
"You haven't been back there since you moved into the dorms... are you sick?"
"No, I just want to be around something familiar. I'll be back on Sunday and I'll text you every 4 hours with updates... please?" He stared at me like he was testing to see if I was lying.
"Fine." I gave him a hug and was about to rush out the door to start packing when... "I am going to send the problem children over at one point on Saturday or Friday night." I stopped in my tracks.
"What? Why?"
"Because they're your friends and I want to make sure you're safe."
"I'll be fine on my own."
"They are your friends, I suspect there is another reason you are going on this trip." I sighed, I knew there was going to be some sort of catch. I guess I'm glad it's them and not him and present mic I guess. I left his office as quickly as I could.
"Hey Girly!" Shouted Mina as I approached the common room. She ran up to me and wrapped an arm around my neck. "What did he say?"
"He said yes! So I'm leaving today. I'm actually heading into my room to pack up my stuff."
"Have you told the rest of the class yet?"
"If you mean the boys... no. They don't really need to know. It's not any of their business." I said with a huff. I don't want anyone ruining Shindo and I's weekend. I think I deserve the break. I didn't do a lot in the rescue mission, but watching Nighteye die was frankly terrifying and I just want to blow off some steam and enjoy my weekend. Now that I know Izuku is ok and back in the dorms, it's the perfect opportunity for me to cut back. I know Pops is super stressed with Eri now and I want to really give him some room to take care of her so I'm going to get out of his hair as well.
I skillfully avoided the rest of the class by staying in my room for the next two hours until it was finally time for me to leave. Pops met me at the door to make sure everything is in order.
"Alright kid. You got everything?" He said.
"I'm good. I'm ready to go back I promise." I said with a smile to ease his worries.
"I'm serious about maybe sending some of your friends later today."
"I know."
"I want a text when you get on the subway train and another when you get home." I laugh a little at his protectiveness. I never really had someone like this in my life. I mean my dad was protective but never in a good way.
"I will I promise." And I was off. Shindo was meeting me at my place since we had agreed on that. A 30-minute bus ride and 10-minute walk later I was almost to my place. I had a good feeling about this weekend. I really did. Boy was I wrong, I didn't plan ahead enough.
"Hi baby!" Yo said getting up from the stairs right in front of my old place with a huge smile on his face.
"Hello!" He planted a kiss on my lips. "You were supposed to meet me in half an hour," I say getting my keys out to unlock the door. He wrapped an arm around my waist and chuckled.
