My lips went cracked and dry My tongue appeared shrunk and wried Feeling that I am so hopeless Suddenly, I become voiceless.
A thick garment is covering my mouth A steel cable is wrapping my arms around It prevents me from singing loud praises My hands are disabled — these can't be raised.
Throughout the unlit tunnel, I was silent Being deserted, the evil was eminent Moving backward or forward induced me to bleed For there are thorns piercing in my body and head.
Like a soldier who's been deployed to a battlefield Adversaries are everywhere, here I'm surrounded The ground is wet as my blood and tears are pouring But for me, there's no turning back nor surrendering.
I tried hard to escape from this unpleasant happening Tears were dried up, knees are sore from kneeling As I look up above, light shone on me, as God's angel rescued me Uncovering my mouth, and freeing me from all of my enemies.
And now, no one can stop me from shouting Your goodness You, o Lord, supply me more strength to conquer darkness You provide me sufficient grace to fulfill my calling For I am Your co-worker — to more souls I'll be winning.
