It has been few days since Roxanne joined the company. But no one approached her and she never even complained. Since the start of her life she has always been all alone except the time Zach was there with her. And now also... if he was there , he barely talked to her and even if he did, it was for work.

"You bastard! Why couldn't you catch Samuel's men!" Zachary shouted in anger at the man in front of him who was shivering in fright.

Just then...

"Sir I've prepared the fi-" Roxanne peaked through the door stealing their attention. They made eye contact, his eyes full of rage while hers were full of innocence but gloom.

Thinking he was busy, she bowed and tried to close the door to leave but he stopped her. "Miss Fleming please come inside, there is something important i wanted to talk to you about ".

On following his command, she quietly entered the room and settled down on one of the chairs and gulped. "So where were we?" Zach asked the man who joined his hands and begged him making Roxanne tilt her head in confusion, what was going on? "Sir I'm very sorry! Please forgive me!" Roxanne was confused but didn't utter a single word because she knew she could be in a lot of trouble if she tried to butt in.

She flinched badly when Zachary kicked the man and pulled out his gun and place it on his skull. Her fear of blood and death rose up again. She thought she was able to overcome it but guess not, she started shaking as she was scared. Zachary smirked knowing how much she was afraid of things like this and everything stopped when he pulled the trigger and the man screamed and died instantly. Roxanne gripped on the dress almost about to faint as she felt the past come up. She was shocked and her body froze. Her skin became pale but he didn't even look at her.

"Hey clean this up!" He called some of his men to clean the room., they stepped in and started their job of cleaning and when they were done. A female entered the room and even she ignored the tears leaving Roxanne's eyes. "Zachie!! Look I'm here!" she squealed as Zachary made his way towards her. 

Roxanne's heart dropped when Zach pulled the lady towards him and kissed her cheek. "Princess! How are you?" He asked her while secretly glancing at Roxanne who was frozen from both that girl and the sight she had encountered.

"Well Delilah, meet my secretary Roxanne" he introduced her to Delilah. He continued "and Roxanne meet my fiancée Delilah!" He emphasized on the word 'fiancée 'hurting Roxanne.

The Delilah girl came up to Roxanne with a bright smile. Before she could open her mouth to speak after she noticed Roxanne's irregular breathing and pale face, Zachary spoke " Well Roxanne, can you please go to the main desk to see if the wedding planner is there?". 

Roxanne immediately nodded before running out of the room and fell down in the corridor. 

"That was very cruel , Roger" Delilah spoke earning a sigh from Zachary. "Do you seriously think that hurting her will make her spit the truth? Did you see how pale she looked?" She pitied the poor girl who was now probably crying  in some corner.

"I have to! I want the fucking truth!" He shouted still not knowing that, that girl was traumatized. All in front of his eyes was the revenge. He still remembers the day he was betrayed by his love who left a piece of paper before disappearing.
